1-0 at ahlf time! should be 2-0 but robbie missed an open goal! i dont know how but shocking! We dont have much in reserve when we change 7/8 players! but when are we going to have to do that in premier/champs league! We can go the distance! whether we will is another matter

Strikers - Kuyt,Torres, Keane, and Ngog lol Wingers - Babel, Kuyt, Reira, Benayoun,Penant, El Zhar Centre Mid - Gerrard, Masc, Alonso, Lucas, Plessis Side backs - Arbeloa, Dossena, Aurelio, Carra, Insua, Degan Centre back - Carra, Agger, Hyypia, Skrtel Goalkeeper - Reina, Cavalieri, Itandje Not quality cover like i said but adequate as everyone is decent.

Plus dependant on injuires our formation can be easily changed, eg 4 5 1 - 4 4 2 and vise versa.

Sonic2 Cant see pool going the distance Wednesdays shows they have little quality in reserve Why, that means nothing, thats not the team we put out in the Prem?? As long as ALL our first teamers don't get injured all at once then your point isn't really relevant. If only one or two get injured then they can be added into the team and it wont make as much difference as wed night as they will still be surrounded by quality players. If a midfielder gets injured we've got Lucas (who I think was prob our best player on wed along with El Zhar) or we could just play 2 in centre mid instead of 3! We've got Kuyt, Torres and Keane up front and Benitez seems to favour one up top, also babel can play there too. Benayoun, El Zhar and Babel can fill in on the wings, and we've got 4 good centre backs (Skrtel injured at the mo with Agger currectly filling in for and doing fine!). We have beaten our two main rivals without our best striker already.

i have to agree, cant see Liverpool running the course, the games have already started coming every 3 days and their form is not as good as it was at the start of the season, some lucky come back wins over man city and the other side who i forget who it was now, lose gerrard or charragher for any lengh of time and they will struggle.

if that guy was not sent off you would not have won that game IMO, i just dont think pool have the squad, for the long run or the experiance of winning a prem title coming into the last 10 games. neither does rafa come 2 think of it.

Very solid performance against bolton today should of had 5 or 6 goals tbh, with keane, lucas, gerrard and torres msiing fab opportunities.

But why should we take the backup players into account and not the first choice, it's not too often every first choice player gets injured, I know chelsea had it bad, but they were very unlucky. Lets look at the whole squad (everyone will prob take the piss as I am a bit bias lol, but they are quite simular and I dont think the difference merits them to be called terrible): http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/9360/squadrf1.jpg

Interesting analysis, much better than the usual tripe served up. However, it is very very rare for a team to go through a season without injuries and suspensions. Liverpool have been quite lucky so far although Torres has been out some. United have more experienced cover in the goalkeeping department. Defensively MUFC are weak at Left back, they havent replaced Heinze - but RB and CB are well covered with Brown who, for all his faults, is still better than any of Liverpools reserves. Midfield United are far stronger than Liverpool - Scholes, Anderson, Fletcher, Nani aganst Lucas, Plessis, Babel, Pennant, Yossi? No brainer. Up front United have Tevez who may have scored more goals last season than the entire liverpool forward line combined minus Torres. While the 1st XI can be compared favourably to MUFC's the squad is very far behind in terms of quality. If Liverpool are lucky and keep Gerrard, Mascherano and Carragher fit they have a chance to get through to the end of January still in touch with chelsea.

Yeah I agree, it is very rare to go without injuries, we have been fairly lucky in comparison to Chelsea, but we have still been hit by some big injuries, we have lost our two best players so far (Torres and Gerrard), Torres for quite some time aswell as skrtel. Arbeloa who has started every game so far was suspended today, Mascherano has been tired from long international flights, our spanish players were tired at the start of the season from euros, also lucas from olympics and babel's injury. We are sitting at the top of the table and joint top of champs league group, I feel our squad has done well so far, but there is a hell of a long way to go, but we do have a record of finishing the season strong under Rafa with his training and rotation regime.

None of those highlighted would be anywhere near either first team squad, with the (possible) exception of Babel.
