Yeah sure sounds good, i do my measurements etc on saturdays and usually try and post up on the same day.
Be good to have a bit of friendly competition as well, keep me on the right track!

Last time i had booze was during world cup final, it was the best thing about the match! lol
As this is a lifestyle change for me i'm not going to cut anything out completely, however i usually don't drink a huge amount anyway so it's not a massive problem for me.

I woke up thinking ketosis had kicked in.
Just out of the gym I have a headache and completely exhausted.
Maybe not yet- although my breath has an acrid taste to it.

Workout as follows (using machines until I get a bit stronger- 9 months off takes its toll)

20 mins of SSCV (cross trainer) keeping heart rate around 120bpm.
                            10 mins of stretching

                            Weights workout (in following order)

Low row: 4 sets @ 45kg  (+1 warmup  set for all exercises) 15/12/10/8 reps
                            Leg press: 4 sets @ 70kg 15/12/10/8 reps
                            Chest press: 4 sets @ 42kg 15/12/10/8 reps
                            Lying leg curl: 4 sets @ 42kg 15/12/10/8 reps
Shoulder press: 3 sets at 20kg (I have a weak shoulder from a 4 year old injury) 10 reps each
Leg extension: 4 sets at 36kg 15/12/10/8 reps
Tricep pulldown: 4 sets at 30kg 15/12/10/8 reps
Standing calf raise: 4 sets at 70kg 15/12/10/8 reps
Bicep bar curl: 4 sets at 22.5kg 15/12/10/8 reps

The plan was then to get on the treadmill for 30 mins.
I managed 5 before almost throwing up.

Decided it is better to pussy out than blow chunks all over the pretty blonde in front of me.
If she is reading this, you're welcome. (yeah, right).

In the time I've taken to write this I have downed my 2nd meal and I am feeling a bit better.
I hope this gets easier but I feel good for making the extra effort.

Had a good cardio session today.

                              25 mins on bike
                              20 mins on treadmill
                              20 mins on crosstrainer

No resting between devices except the time it takes me to cross the gym.
I mix it up to decrease boredom.
Heart-rate was 110-130 throughout and averaged 120bpm so I guess I am bang on.

Had a weird conversation with a girl at the counter of the gym.
She said I looked tired and I said 'yeah, doing a keto diet' and without asking if I wanted her opinion started in on why she though it was a bad idea, she had done it and it ended up making her cry & I should work out more (what more than 6 days a week?) and more intensely (I've seen her on the treadmill, she takes it much easier than I do).

Rather than debate it with her I just turned away without saying anything and walked away.
She still finished her sentence as I was going around the corner and down the stairs not realising I had left.
Obviously her mouth, eyes and brain are all connected but only one of them can work at once.

Probably not the best reaction but better than getting into an argument.

Throughout my workout I was replaying the conversation in my head until I realised I don't have to justify what I am doing with my own body to anyone else.
If, for some reason, this doesn't work for me then I will change it up but for now I feel great and it seems to be doing something for me so I am just peachy.

You know better than them silly gym instructors. Myself and Dan Nukem were training a few months back, we were dealifting, I was doing 200kg, I know how to deadlift, during the lift this instructor girl said "try keeping your back straight" what a dumbass saying that in the middle of my lift, she obviously has no understanding that form goes out the window when your close to your PB. I'd take everything they say with a pinch of salt, do your own thing, your plan looks fine and good luck with it.

                                    Thanks fellas.

I think the assumption on her part is that because I am outta shape I am also ignorant.
My first thought was if a keto-diet made her cry then she is either a bit soft or she was doing it wrong (not enough fat maybe).

She isn't even an instructor- she's a receptionist.
If she was a trainer I'd probably be a bit more receptive but even still it was still pretty arrogant.

Lol yeah i get that, because i'm out of shape at the moment i automatically know F all.

Have you set yourself any specific goals like what bodyfat % you'd like to achieve etc?

Yes, I have goals that I haven't redefined since starting keto diet.

I am back at uni mid Sept which is about 8 weeks from now.
Originally I thought I'd like to get to 95kg in that time which would be a 10kg loss.

I bought some scales today- previously I had been using the ones at the gym which I suspected were a bit off.
According to my new digital scale I am 107kg today- 2kg higher than I thought I was when I started this.
Ah well- even more incentive to eat right and work out now.

So, I am shooting to go from 107kg -> 95kg  in 8 weeks, which is about 26 lbs in total or 3lbs a week.
I reckon it is achievable if I get everything right but I would be ok with 'in the ballpark'.
Bodyfat percentage is a bit trickier to quantify- eventually sub 10% but around 15-17% would be fine by mid sept.

If I can get to 85kg by the end of the year I will be completely stoked.
Thinking of doing an AAS cycle next year once I achieve the weight loss but I have a mountain of work to do before then.
