Fantastic session today, really pleased with how my beltless deads are coming along. 11/09/09 Beltless Deadlifts- 60/6, 100/6, 140/3, 180/3, 220/2, 260/2 PB, 270/1 PB Really pleased with these, 600lbs beltless would have definetly fallen, never entered my head to put that extra 2.5kg on though. All reps were clean and not hitched. 20" Rack Pulls- 100/4, 180/2, 220/2, 270/2, 310/2, 340/1 Belt and straps on from 310kg, very pleased with these too, think if I was fresh another 20 or 30kg is there. Kroc Rows- 40/12, 55/15, 60/15 Pulldowns- 50/10, 70/8, 80/8 Shrugs- 100/10, 140/10, 180/10 Barbell SLDL- 100/8, 140/8, 160/8

Having to switch training days around this week as won't be able to train Friday as bro and myself are moving to Glasgow that day. Pretty pleased with how things went today. 13/09/09 Jerk from Rack- 60/6, 100/3, 120/3, 130/1 Push Press from Rack (Viking Style)- 80/6, 100/6, 110/3 All done no belt. Cleans- 100/3 (last reps pressed only), 120/1/1 (both cont clean then pressed), 130/1 (cont clean) Seated BB Press- 60/6, 80/4, 90/3 PB, 100/f, 60/11/12 Messed set up on 100k set, not happy as 90 for 3 was easy! Finished off with some rear delt work.

This is the kind of equipment that is used normally for viking press: What I am doing is that sort of movement, but on a barbell. So Push press to lockout, then back down and no re-rack on the shoulders just straight back up.

Awesome session today, well pleased. Think Ive my right calf a little though so plenty of ice and heat treatment tonight followed by voltarol before bed and then we';; see in the morning if I'm training the other two days this week or waiting till next week. 15/09/09 Front Squat- 60/6, 100/4, 140/3, 160/2, 180/1, 190/1 PB, 200/1 PB, 210/f200kg stalled a little cause I messed my breathing up due to not being able to get enough air in with the 200kg across the chest. 210kg felt heavy when it came out the rack and I was doubtful if I'd get it. Went down, but leaned a little bit forward and lost the bar. Very happy though cause its taken me so long to break that 180kg barrier. Leg Press- 220/6, 300/6, 380/6, 400/6, 420/6 Happy enough with these. Back Squat- 60/2, 100/2, 140/2, 180/4 Felt a pull on the calf on the second rep at 140kg. Stretched it a little and then it felt good on the 180kg set. Wanted 8reps, but felt it pull a wee bit again on the 4th reps so just left it there. Video to follow.

Nice session today, tried to put the Inzer Fusion on, but I fear the lack of cardio has affected me in a not so good way. Took a very very long time to get the suit on and then once it was one I could hardly bend forward in it. Doesn't matter cause the increased cardio starting next week and then 16weeks of no singles and I'll be set for something big when I put it on again. 17/09/09 Beltless Deads- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/3, 220/2, 260/1, 275/1 PB Really pleased with these, put the Rehband on from 260kg to give my back some extra warmth as it was really tight right from the start. 4" Block Deads- 160/6, 180/6, 200/3 Seated Rows- 50/8, 70/8, 90/8, 120/8 Finished off with seated hamstring curls and then high rep barbell curls (empty bar for 1set of 50reps, then a second set of 50). Got the idea from Marshall White and Derek Poundstone who use this high rep work on biceps to condition them for truck pulls, arm over arm etc. Video to follow.

Yeah he does higher rep stuff closer to contest time I think. He's mentally conditioned though! Sweet session today, hardest part wasn't the heavy stuff it was the cardio based/ high rep work. Not done any conditioning work for close to 4months so right off the pace. 22/09/09 Axle Press- 60/6, 80/2, 105/4/4/4/4, 120/2/2, 105/8 Every set was one clean then press from shoulders. The 105kg final set was supposed to be all reps from floor, after the second clean I knew that I wasn't going to get them. The set went something like this (C=clean, P=press): C,P,C,P,C,PPP,C,P,C,PP :D Push Press fronm Rack- 100/6/6 Seated BB Press- 60/6, 80/4, 90/2 Seated || Grip Machine Press- 80/10, 90/8, 100/4 Finished off with rear delf work and a 1:30min sprint on the rower for a PB of 466m.

Karlsen Squats- 60/6, 100/6, 140/6, 180/6, 260/3 Thats all today, from next week volume will be upped and things taken to a new level. Maybe 180kg for 4 on the fronts next week!

Also, forgot to mention that I weighed in at 300lbs at training today. Time to cut a bit of BF and lean it out a bit.

Alright session today, not too bad for a first event session in 8weeks, but things could have been better. 27/09/09 IFSA Log Press- 50/6/6, 80/3, 100/1, 120/1, 130/1, 140/f 120kg was easy, 130kg bit harder due to not being able to get the air in, then couldn't clean the 140kg, got one of the IFSA trainers and the small log section makes it really hard to clean. Farmers Walk- 70/10m, 100/pick up, 150/10m, 170/5m All sets were easy till 170kg where it seemed to be pulling out of my hand from the start. Stones- Singles with 80, 90, 100, 110, 127, 132 then 160kg. Run of 80, 90, 100, 110, 127, 132kg in about 25->30s All lifts to 50"

Awesome session today, really enjoying the Ortmayer routine for axle press. 29/09/09 Axle Press- 50/6, 70/6, 105/4/4/4/4, 120/2, 135/2 PB, 105/8 All the 105kg sets of 4 were powercleaned to shoulders and all push pressed. 120k double overhand cont clean and 135k reverse grip cont clean; both of these sets were jerked. The set of 8reps, was done with 2presses to each clean so there were 4cleans and 8presses, mostly push press. Push Press from Rack- 80/6, 100/6, 110/5 Belt on for 110kg set only. Seated DB Press- 35/8/8/8 Not done these in a while so was all over the place balance wise. Seated BB Press- 70/8/5 Nothing left at all. Finished off with rear delts and sprint on the rower.
