bigscottishbastard Alright one today, happy enough with everything. 17/01/10 Stones- from 80kg upto 160kg, then missed the 187kg 3times. Had it up and almost at knees then just as I transfered to the knees tacky was all coming off. Mate, what brand tacky you using. I make my own and resell. I've had nothing but positive comments so far. People say they do not have to retack as often with mine. Its on ebay, search TOMMY TACK or contact directly ncstrongman@gmail.com

Alright one today considering that I couldn't really do what I wanted to do and had to keep it static to let the calf heal. 14/02/10 Incline Log- 50/10, 70/10, 90/10, 110/9, 120/3/3, 100/11 Happy enough with this, incline wasn't as much as it's going to be at the Scottish Final, but I plan on improving the reps on this incline as much as possible, and will do high incline barbell too. Van Dead Simulator- 150/6, 230/6, 310/6, 390/6, 470/6, 520/6, 600/2/3(t&g), 460/3 Really pleased with these, the top set of 600kg on machine gives ~400kg in the hands. Went for ~300kg in hands afterwards, but after all the sets the callous I tore on Friday had started to reopen and ruined it. Just did some reverse hypers to finish. Did a 90kg log OH to see how the calf was feeling and I didn't even feel a twinge, right on the road to healing!

Sound one today, again had to improvise to not be doing much calf related stuff. 16/02/10 Hammer Strength Machine Press- 15/10, 25/10, 35/6/6, 25/10 First time using this machine properly, weights are per arm. Felt different, but good enough. Incline Log- 50/8, 80/8, 100/8, 110/5 Standing BB Press- 60/10/10/10/10/10, 100/2/2 First 6reps on the 60s were strict, last 4 were push press. Both doubles at 100kg were jerks. Felt fine on the calf. Finished with some lateral raises. Happy enough, but can't wait to do some log next Tuesday!

Awesome one tonight, Andy and myself have decided to switch to deadlifting together for a bit rather than squatting in an effort to push each other more and hit the goals we want for years end. I can seriously see it paying off, tonight was insane! 24/02/10 Deadlift- 60/6, 100/4, 140/3, 180/3, 220/2, 260/3/3/3/3/4 Back was feeling really bad, but loosened off and got a second wind after the 3rd set as I wanted to beat Andy. Felt I could of gone another set if not two more! :D SLDL- 140/6, 180/6, at this point Andy was very tired so decided to go to hypers instead, 3sets of 12 Parallel Grip Pulldowns- Not sure of exact weight, but did 3sets of 10 increasing weight each time DB Row- 50/10, 60/10 Finished with some farmers shrugs with 70k a hand, but the feet on the farmers didn't let me do them properly.

Great one today, was planning more reps on deads but felt good so decided to max for the fun of it and then back into rep stuff next week. 12/03/10 Deadlifts- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/3, 220/2, 270/1, 305/1 PB, 250/6 The 305kg was a fight, came to the knees very fast and easy and then about an inch or so above the knee I just lost all power. Ended up walking it slowly up the thighs, but locked it out and tore a callous in the process. Put straps on for the 250kg to try and save the callous coming off, reckon I could of had 8reps at 250kg. Box Squat- 70/3, 110/3, 150/3, 180/2, 100/3/3 Makeshift GHR- BW/10, BW+25kg/10, BW+50kg/6 Hamstring Curl Machine- 60/10, 80/10, 100/10, 120/6, 70/26 Machine Row- 80/10, 100/6, 120/6, 150/6, 100/12 Pulldowns- 60/10, 70/10, 80/10, 90/10 Finished off with some bicep curls, straight arm pushdowns and a rower sprint.

Good one today, forgot and only realised after the session that it had been 6weeks since I had squatted so today was a baptism of fire! :D 17/02/10 Squats- 60/6/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/3, 222.5/5/5/5/3/3/3 Belt on from the 180kg set, wraps for all 222.5kg. Found a modified Russian routine so decided I'd run it till SSM, just to get used to rep work. Started at week 3 and today was supposed so be 6x5 at 222.5kg, very very tough though. Can see walking being a problem tomorrow! :( After squat I was very close to puking and could hardly stand so just finished with some leg extensions and then abs. Forgot to do calves so will them after deads on Friday.

Can't believe how beat up I am after squats yesterday. Knew I was going to be sore today, but this is just crazy! Triceps today were subpar because of this and also my left trap is really sore and was causing me problems stabilising anything. 18/03/10 High Incline Press- 60/6/6, 80/6/6/4 CG Bench- 70/8, 100/6, 110/6/6/5 DB OH Ext- 40/10/10/10/10/10 Finished with some pushdowns. Was really wanting to do some conditioning today, but there isn't a chance in the state I am, going to rest up and get some good carbs in for deads tomorrow.

Pretty happy with how things went today. Since I found out deadlift at SSM will be cage ascending weight and suits will be allowed decided just to do 3x3 till the comp in the suit on deadlift day and then event day use the van dead replicator to practice the ascending weight. 19/03/10 Deadlifts- 60/6, 100/6, 140/4, 180/3, 220/2, 260/3/3/3 Suit on from 180k, straps up from 220k and belt for the 260s. SLDL- 100/8, 140/8, 180/8, 200/5 PB All done beltless. Barbell Row- 60/8, 100/8, 120/8, 140/10 Pulldowns- 70/8, 85/12, 100/10/10 Bottom Position GMs- 70/8/8, 100/8, 120/8, 140/8 Finished with some abs and biceps.
