I've started stretching every night and it's loosening off nicely. I'm hoping in a few weeks I'll be able to squat without pain.

Ok one last night, weight on the 18" pulls is coming along, close to the limit, but think I had 5 to 10kg more in me last night. Okish one today, felt knackered and drained still from the weekend and lack of food, but was happy with the work I did. Had a play with the Monsterbell too. 27/07/10 Jerk From rack- 60/6/4, 100/3, 120/3, 130/3/3 DB Press- multiple attempts with the 73kg WookieBell, locked it out a few times, just couldn't nail the balance aspect Seated DBs- 30/8/8/12/12/15 Power Snatch- 50/3, 70/3, 80/2 No explosiveness so called it a day and going to eat like mad for some big squats tomorrow!

Quality one today, got a nice heavy squat and then some good rep stuff in. 28/07/10 Squat- 60/6/6, 100/6, 140/4, belt on 180/3, 220/3, wraps on 250/1, 265/1 Really happy with these, the stretching since last week has really paid off. Knee felt great; 220k is the heaviest I've gone without wraps since hurting the knee and it felt great. 265k was an ok lift, 270 was definitley there! Leg Press- 100/10, 190/10, 230/10, 280/10, 320/10, 360/10 Front Squat- 60/5, 100/5, 140/3 Just wanted to do these to see how the knee felt in the hole. Finished with a few sets of calfs and then abs.

Rich- It changes, jsut do what I feel like. I believe that day I just did some higher rep hammer curls with the heaviest DBs in the cardio suite that I was using for pulldowns. Think it was 4sets of 15reps with the 16kg dumbbells. Tom- Thanks mate! I'll be competing at UKs Strongest Man in late August which will be televised later in the year.

Christ, can't believe I said Englands strongest man. Dumbass! I mean't Scotlands of course. Saw that video of your huge DB. Never knew pressing rage existed! Looks justified though, must be bloody frustrating when you've got it up but cant get the balance.

I've competed at Scotland's twice (missed the third time this year by getting stuck in NYC) and the UKSC Scottish three times. Results are: Scotland's Strongest Man 2008- 12th Scotland's Strongest Man 2008- 5th UKSC Scotland's Strongest Man 2008- 2nd Scotland's Strongest Man 2008- 3rd Scotland's Strongest Man 2008- 4th (threw away 2nd place) The dumbbell is very frustrating mate! I always get angry if I miss a lift though haha!

Pretty happy with how things went today, Just trying to get some good work in as apart from log and yoke everything else on Day 1 is pretty much covered during the week. Was raining like a bitch today, so just did log, WookieBell and yoke. Next week going to do a medley as well for a bit of conditioning work for the loading medley on Day 2. 01/08/10 Log Press- 80/1/2/3, 100/3/3, 120/3, 130/2/3 Not too sure the weight of the log empty, we always went with 90kg but have heard recently it's 80kg so just went lower. Was planning on going upto 140kg, but after I put down the 120k I lost feeling in my legs and almost collapsed. Feeling came back pretty quick though. Going to wrap a towel round it next week to bump up the diameter. Have a feeling that Glenn's logs are going to be very awkward. WookieBell- Few attempts with old tech, changed it to an Ortmayer style and then nailed it. Went in for another rep for the video. Going to rep this on Tuesday! Yoke- 250kg/30m/30m, 330kg/15m/15m/15m/15m

Another quality one today, things are really going well right now! 06/08/10 18" Deadlift- 110/6, 160/6, 200/3, 240/3, 280/1, 320/1, 340/1, 360/1 PB Deadlift- 110/3, 160/3, 200/2, 240/1, 280/1, 310/1 PB GHRs- BW/10, BW+20kg/10/8 Been having a really sore left elbow the past few days, think it's bicep tendon from squeezsing into the bar on Wednesday since my shoulder was quite tight. Only managed to do a few sets of pulldowns and db rows. Let it rest and hopefully get it healed somewhat for events sunday.
