Once or Twice a week!

Hello, I no this has prob been asked loads of times, but is it best to train each muslcle group once or twice a week??

most revent studies have shown twice a wk to be optimum.

Alot of people will do isolate exercises one day a week and then a compound on another. An example is Monday - Deadlifts on a back day and Friday legs.

I'd say it depends on various factors, such as your training goals, whether natural or assisted, etc.. Personally hitting each bodypart directly once a week is ample for me. Anymore and i'd probably not feel fully recovered. Remember that working chest and shoulders for example, will indirectly be working triceps too, so doing them directly once a week on top of that as well, effectively means they get hit twice anyway.
