Out of date steroids.

Has been a long time since ive posted in this forum, good to see things havent declined too much

A friend of mind has recently decided to start a cycle of steroids, i have already given him all of the spiel and if im honest, have tried to disuade him from the whole idea, mainly because he lacks common sense in almost every aspect of his life. I generally tend to advise people like that to stay away from pointy objects, especially when said pointy objects will pointed towards oneself, be breaking several layers of skin  and be delivering hormones deep into ones muscles.

However, he is going ahead with it regardless. He has been given some very old Norma deca vials, they actually went out of date 3 years ago now. Ive advised him not to take them for obvious reasons, even though to me they seemed fine, no crsytalisation and to the eye seemingly in order. What is the MT general consensus on this nowadays?

Am i going to have to forcefully rip them from his possession before he causes himself some damage? Or will he be fine using it?

I use out of date gear all the time, never had any problems but I have no idea of what the "possible" down sides would be.

I have always wondered if any 'potency' would be lost over time. I cannot really comprehend how this could take place though?  Obviously im more concerned as to whether the steroids are safe for use? And if not, why not?

I think when meds go out of date its is there potency thats affected i think your mate should be fine imo.

Personally if the liquid looks ok i would still use.

The only thing i would not consider using is possibly a mutil vial if if had been used previously but even that might be ok, everything else as long as sealed should be ok. I think as what everyone said above with any medication it just loses its potency after a while.

I think a lot of it comes down to how its been stored for that amount of time.

Im sure I've read that it losses potency but if it has been stored in low light and cool i think it will be down to a min TBH

If its been in sun light and kept in a hot place or rolling around someone car boot id stay away for wot it costs i wouldn't take the chance.
