Don't waste yourself on a massive deadlift if second place is only pulling like 260. Save some energy for the rest of the comp lol!

That over head work looked decent considering you've done fackall recently mate. The axle in the comp is only 90kg so like you say speed will be the key.

Stupidly epic session today...things really kicking up a notch....
 
Deadlifts Week 2 Session A
 
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
180kg x 5
220kg x 3
240kg x 1
260kg x 2
260kg x 2
260kg x 3
260kg x 3
250kg x 2 Paused
240kg x 8 possibly a total volume pb
 
Strength just through the roof... 260 felt silly light. The plan showed 3 sets of 2 @ 260...1 set of 2 @ 250kg and 1 set of 3 at 240kg but i'm pushing on when I can. These all felt immense, I literally had to stop myself going any further as I felt like I could lift anything today. Second week back to squatting too so needed to leave something in the tank. rest periods on these were around 2 minutes or so.
 
Squats
 
60kg x 5
80kg x 5
100kg x 5
120kg x 3
140kg x 1
160kg x 2
160kg x 2
160kg x 2
152.5kg x 2
140kg x 8
 
Still taking these to a TnG box purely to be in my new depth, these take me just under parallel. 160's felt good, toyed with throwing another 30kg on but sticking to the plan mostly as I have not squatted a whole lot the past 4 months or so..at least not with a free bar. Everything felt pretty good...getting my positioning down, my bracing down, bar path still needs some work but its early days. Pleased with this..plenty more reps at 140 had I wished but I only required 3 so went well over as it was.
 
Chest Supported Rows
 
50kg x 8
50kg x 8
55kg x 7 rep pb and total rep/weight pb
 
Strength eeking up weekly, such a strict movement, you just can't cheat it, lats hit nicely on this set up.
 
Plate Loaded Machine Pull Downs (reverse grip)
 
100kg x 11 rep pb
100kg x 8
100kg x 8 total rep/weight pb
 
I love this machine, locks you in so well and feels far better than a cable, lats burning, strength coming up quickly on them.
 
Seated Leg Curls
 
105kg x 8 rep pb
110kg x 4 rep pb
95kg x 10 + 5 + 4 rest pause + 10 partials
 
Limited volume but the pump in my hams was crazy, I literally struggled to stand after, I rate this thing as one of the finest deadlift builders out there. Stack for 4 reps is nice...will get that up to 15-20 reps the coming months.
 
Kneeling Rope Crunch
 
55kg x 12 rep pb
55kg x 12
55kg x 9 total rep/weight pb
 
Abs felt tore up from these...long long ROM and they hurt so good.
 
Stretched out and called it a day..minimising accessory work...doing what is needed but the main lifts are where it is at for now...bodybuilding can come back a little in summer.

I don't know mate...I don't think so really...this I reckon is all placebo at the moment..only 1 week in, not really expecting to see anything from it for another week or 2 tbh. Osta was pretty much with a few days lol! I do however feel very very good and sleeping the best I ever have.
