Apart from the TV/monitor what would you see as an essential addition when buying a PS3? Please feel free to include games. Cheers

DGee HDMI cable yes 100% Don´t waste money on the camera eye toy thing unless you have small children, it can entertain them for ages. If you are going to play online games like COD (a must) then maybe a bluetooth headset and wireless keyboard and mouse. Makes browsing easier as well. Games: Gran turismo assassin creed COD

A 360 would be a good add-on.

Thanks for the responses gents, much appreciated We already have a 360 and my lads have played COD on it but are now playing Modern Warfare on xbox live and say it's the best game they've ever played.

if you have a mac - the nullsoft medialink software (about £12) so you can stream pictures and video wirelessly to your PS3.

I can and do that regularly with my Windows laptop through a piece of free software....films, photos, music all streamed wirelessly....many people do this...unless you're on about something different?

I've got a PS3 and glad I've got it, I like blu-rays a lot and the general look of it. But I've got a question about the 360, how exactly can you watch sky threw it and how much does it cost?

one thing I bought was a 3 metre charging lead for the controller. The one that came with it was only 1 metre long, which is fine to charge the controller but if for some reason the controller is flat and you want to play, or use it in some way, a 3 metre long one allows me to sit on the sofa, rather than stand right up close due to the supplied cable only being short
