I think Cotto could land this inside the distance.

Re:Pacquiao v Cotto - 12 November 2009 22:20
IMO Cotto struggled a bit with Clottey.

Pac will be too fast and hit Cotto with stinging shots, zipping in and out, maybe opening up some cuts as Cotto is a little cut prone.

Could Pac stop him? Margarito is stronger, bigger, bangs harder and is more aggressive than Pac and it took him 11 rounds so unlikely IMO but not out of the question.

Pac UD but a late stoppage not out of the question.

There is obviously a chance that Cotto could test Pacs chin as Cotto can bang but again unlikely IMO.

Pacquaio for me. Too fast and is at the top of his game.

Whatever the outcome it should be a brilliant fight. I think if Pacman wins it will be by decision, if Cotto wins it will be by stoppage. I cannot see Manny stopping Cotto, whereas if Manny can survive he'll have more left in terms of speed during the later stages of the fight giving him the edge.

I can't wait to watch this, fight of the year.

Pacquaio will be too fast. Cotto is tough though and will lose a decision.

I've said Cotto all along. Although Pacquiao looks great, his last two fights have maybe flattered him somewhat given the opposition....by that I mean they were hardly at their best (although Hatton would have probably ended up the same way even at his best)

 close fight though!

Do you think Pacquiao will stop him Teg?

Could do by accumulation.

Cotto is no Ricky Hatton though. The guy has skills.

WHAT? Ricky hatton has "no skills"??

Yes your right, 40 odd fights unbeaten multiple weight world champion took floyd mayweather 10 rounds is all by pure luck, what a ridicoulous ****ing comment.

anyway, I think Pac man will stop cotto late on. should be a great fight though

Hatton's boxing skills were limited to be fair in comparison to the likes of Pacquiao, Floyd, Cotto etc.....which is why he got humiliated by the first two I mentioned

The money is in mayweather paquio...I get the feeling if this goes the distance paquio will win for that reason.

a cotto stoppage would not surprise me though

Hatton showed V Pacquaio how clueless he was. The evidence is there for all to see.

I thought his comments after his brother's fight last night were odd.

Something like, apart from the first round, where he made mistakes and got tagged, the second round he was well ahead on points and hurt Manny a few times!....I just watched the second round again and I'm failing to see that!

he also keeps giving massive hints that he'll fight again next year.....anyone any ideas where he's got left to go?....there was talk of a Khan match up obviously.

As much as Ive been a fan of Hatton in the past I think hes losing the plot now as to his future.

He seems to feel hes still 'hot' property and able to call the shots, which Im sure mosty will agree is wrong.

The Mayweather fight was a legit fight which he gave 100% to and got outclassed.

The Pac fight was dire and he was clearly shot.

Bradley, Alexander and a few others would batter him silly at 140 these days. Cotto and a whole host would batter him at 147.

If he comes back hes a mug. I doubt he could get through a decent warm up fight being honest.

Khan would batter Hatton.

As much as I hate to agree with that, I do.....way too fast and accurate, Hatton's defence is gash and would be taking punches, a lot of them, all night...or until he went down.

His only hope is landing a big punch, which watching that Pacquiao fight again, he's throwing wild punches and hitting fcuk all!

I think it will indeed go the distance with Manny winning a unanimous decision. He'll score too many points in the late rounds for Cotto to have a chance.

After Prescott KO'ing Khan the way he did I think Hatton would probably do the same.

Hatton is past it,but Khan has no chin,if Hatton caught him,it would be good night for Khan.

Probably around 4-5am.

Sky advertised the Mayweather Marquez for the same time and it kicked off at 4-5am.

Mosley brought alot of speed to the fight with Cotto but Cotto nulified it by his style.

Who has Pacman beat about 135 who was not shot to bits?

Cotto at 5/2 is a way too big price.

Here in Mexico the actual fight is said to start at 10-10:30pm which would be 4-4:30am in the UK.

Did you see Floyd Sr accusing Pacman of taking steroids?!

Cotto looks focused and in really good condition, it's a real tough one to call.

I'm afraid that you will be right. What a fight it would be though.

Pacquiao was amazing, Cotto was really brave to go as far as he did, Pacquiao destroyed him. It's one of the best displays of boxing I think I have ever seen.

Ref did what his corner should have done 3 or 4 rounds earlier.

Cotto needs to retire.

Pacquaio V Williams?

Yeah, I think his corner should have thrown the towel in, I felt sorry for him.

I thought the crowd were a little out of order for booing near the end of the 9th/10th round (or whenever it was) when Cotto was staying as far away as he could and just jabbing away, it was obvious Cotto was hurt, and they had got more than their moneys worth of boxing.

What a fight, it would be great to see a fight between him and Mayweather, however I can't see it happening.

Hopefully it will, this will determine the real P4P King.
