Peptopro

Peptopro....Anyone use this as a regular supplement in their diet?
I have used it myself (1kg) ages ago and felt I got good recovery from it but at £40 a kg it has put me off making it a regular part of my supps.
Anyone use it continuously and considers it worth it? Don't know anyone who does!
Shame there's no bulk discount on it either!

My opinion - if it was that good everyone would buy it no matter what price it was

I think the end result you will get compared to other protein products will be the same and difference will be minimal +/-

I noticed the benefit of it or at least I felt I did. But yeah I can get several kgs of isolate for the same price. You're only meant to use 20g around workouts so it should last around a month. I ended up using it too much and finished it in less than a couple of weeks. That'd be expensive! The missus would go mad!! Lol

Used the Humapro to replace all protein supplements from diet and made the same, if not better gains. Slightly leaner and more vascular and far less DOMS than when just using whey. IMO it's good stuff.

Hi MD, yeah I've read you can get leaner on it. Supposedly you need less protein when on Humapro. The marketing seems a little OTT. I'm using Ajinomoto BCAAs and was initally looking for their EAAs and Humapro is the closest you can get to it from what I've seen. Shame about sweetners etc added. Predator do 445g for £33 if you buy 4 tubs. Does work out pricey. 60 x (7.2g scoops) in each tub. Thats 2 scoops (10g EAAs) a day for 1 tub to last 1 month. Doesn't seems like a lot. I reckon I'd go through 4 scoops a day. Thats £66 a month JUST for Humapro!
How much did you use? So you had no whey etc while on it?

Very OTT!! I used the tablets for the above reasons. I took 24 tablets a day split into 4 doses, 6 upon waking, 6 pre workout, 6 post workout and 6 before bed. The labels says I'd have needed 28 tabs a day for complete protein replacement, but that would only be if i didn't ANY other protein. I took no whey whatsoever, but still had protein from other sources such as milk and cheese. I even ate quite a bit less protein foods than normal (chicken etc...) and it didn't have a negative effect.

It is expensive yes, but on the money I didn't spend on whey and other protein foods, I reckon It worked out about the same overall.

Hmmm! Might get a couple of tubs and see how I get on. I use wpi and have no issues with it so maybe won't use as much as you did.

If thats what they say then I would steer clear of it - you need X amount of protein no matter what supplement you are taking.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it doesnt covert correctly to Leucine. Which is THE amino acid for protein synthesis.

No conversion with the said product? (not sure what you mean by this?)

Do you mean it contains Leucine?

    If so all whey does..

To the guy saying you need x amount of protein, this is incorrect, as it the essential amino acid intake that is most important. Research supports eaa + carbs elevating protein synthesis above what whole protein can do. Covered this on our site or our blog at some point I think.
