Hi,
Been looking at no-xplode, Jack3d, 1mr and a few others
 
Can anyone recommend one? Im currently taking 2 caffiene tabs before workouts just to pep me up. Starting to have little effect now though.
 
I was wondering though, will a pre-workout formula keep me awake at night? I train about 3-4pm and go to sleep about 9.30pm.

    First off... im guessing each caffeine pill is 200mg? So your saying u take 2x200mg aka 400mg and ur not getting much out of it... for a start caffeine/stimulants work best on someone who uses them only when they need to, or lack energy that day.
    Also by cutting out other forms of stimualnts, such as energy drinks. coffees etc from daily consumption you will get "more" out of there use when u do happen to use them.

    If your diet is sound, and you have a high tolerance.. i found that taking stims on a completly empty stomach, preworkout is a big no-no.... 30/40 mins preworkout BUT... a meal of carbs and protein 1 to 2 hours prior to this (or if u like a banana and protein shake an hour before the preworkout) works well..

    In terms of the products you listed... Jack3d is populer and for good reason, at 2/3 scoops its strong stuff, lots of caffeine and gernaium in there but not much else... good for energy and focus but there are better alternatives out there atm, imo.

    No-Explode is an old fave of mine, good energy/endurance and some pump too. 1 and half scoops does me, id say your better off buyin a tub of that and seeing how you get on, rather then jump on the jack3d bandwagon, abuse the product and wonder why at 5 scoops or so you dont feel anything!

    1MR is a combination of the 2 ^, an ultra concentrate. The orginal is very very strong, one of the strongest per scoop, more akin to jack3d but at a higher dosage... personally of those 3 id still take N0-Explode everytime

      Yeah 400mg, i got the caffiene initally to use as a diet aid (thermogenics).
       
      Then i got a tub and was using it to wake me up for my early start at work and 2 before i train.
       
      I wouldnt say i dont feel anything at all but since ive been useing it regularly its getting less effective.
       
      I dont have all that much caffiene of other forms in my diet tbh. Only in Diet Coke on a weekend.#

          As bicep bill said 400mg is alot...as an example...

          1MR scoop = 300mg caffeine and about 40-60mg of gernaium from memory.. i.e. very strong.

          No-explode and jack3d are unknown ammounts, however they are on par, greater then the effects of 400mg of caffeine, stim wise..as ive been curious and tryed double scoops of each compared to 2x200mg pills taken 45 mins preworkout.

          My advice...cut all stims out of your diet, the odd diet coke isnt a problem.
          Dont use any before work, i know itll be hard but even if your going to bed alot earlier, your body will benafit from it in the long run.

            With pre workout mixes is using it 3 times a week too much??

              Id say 3 times a week is fine. I workout 5 times a week, on average i use a strong stim preworkout only once a week now (Leg day, as i train quads, hams and calves hard) and i use a low stim option for 2 other days. If feeling vein and doing arms on the weekend, a pump product lol
