Pre-work out Nitric Oxide suppliment question- for a female 03 February 2012 13:56 (permalink)
Hi everyone,

I have been using Nitric Oxide a while now before work outs and really like it. I have been using PHD V-Max Pump, I just saw it in a shop, read the label and thought I would give it a try and have been hooked ever since.
It suggests two scoops about 20 mins before work out. Being only 53kg and a female I take a little less (I figure the suggested dosage is probably for men) So I normally take a scoop and a half.

I get fantastic pumps from it and work outs are much more intense, lift more and all that stuff it says on the tin. I also go rock solid all over and love it.

Anyway, I have recently moved house and gym and various other changes and taking it 15-20 mins before work out and using water to mix just has become inconvenient for my. So I was looking to buy it in a capsule/pill form which I can carry easily and take when I need. Unlike a pot of powder.

So I have been looking at pills and they all say to take like 3 pills 3 times a day everyday and things like that.
This is not something I really want. I just want it to boost my work out, I don't want to be on it all the time.

The only capsule I have found is from Maximuscle which says to take 30 mins before work out which for me sounds like I want.

Before buying I wanted a bit of advice about it. Will it give me the results like the powder?
Should I consider going for a brand that says to take it all the time but then only take it before work outs?
Also I am a little bit sceptical about Maximuscle, I mean you can buy it in Tescos and places like that which makes me question if it is a very good brand?

I guess I should also finish by saying I am not a competing body builder. I do want to grow muscle, be fit, healthy and have an amazing six pack, but I don't want to be huge huge.

So any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated about what to buy and where from would also be useful.

Thank you kindly

My advice; and im sure most will agree with me on this...powder is superior to pills, atleast when it comes to digestion speed for a preworkout product. Ideally, u want to be eating a meal 2 hours preworkout, or a shake and piece of fruit as i do, 1 hour preworkout. I then take the shake, and after 20-30 mins the preworkout has kicked in.

There are some preworkouts which come in both powder, and pill form, but if you notice and check most reviews for preworkouts that are good, preety much all of them are powder only... That being said, if its simply pump you want, and not much else..there are various N0-Booster type products on the market. Off the top of my head...

    Gaspari Plasmajet / Vasotrophin
    BSN Nitrix
    iForce Hemavol
    Axis Labs Hemodraulix

Again, these have alot of mixed reviews, id go for powder everytime.

thank you guys. I will stick to the powders then. I think the little beaker idea is good. I can slip that into my bag easily.

I have been wanting to try the BSN NO Explode for a while as it has amazing reviews. As I would be going down the pill form route now. I think i will give BSN a go :)
