It's BIG! Two comments:-
What happened to the protein cost/50g information?
Why are the Y-axis labels on the right rather than the left?

those ratios are only confusing IMO. far too many products too IMO. just adds to the confusion IMO. I also prefer the older price per protein format

I may be wrong, but I can't see any milk (proper milk none of that soy stuff ) a very odd omission, if correct

yeah no milk, not an omission just me having trouble thinking up a exhaustive list of every food in the world that has protein in it.

Ill add it & price/50g sometime, right now looking at spreadsheets gives me a strong urge to vomit.

will try tht soya stuff too.  always looking for cheap protein sources
 
by way asda price sardines in tomatoe sauce is 18p per tin.  20 grams protein.  that works out at 45p per 50 grams of protein.  into 3rd spot i beleive

Its pure gluten powder, if youre intolerant, you cant eat it.

Have I got this right...Vital wheat gluten goes from cheapest to 3rd most expensive when you add delivery for 2kg?

Yep, buy in bulk (just another one of the common money saving ideas).

unsure of its expiry date, but i had to leave it undelivered also as some may live close by or find it locally in supermarkets (not the big names).

I think a lot of the cost of protein is inflicted on the consumer by the manufacturer....i have seen numerous price hikes over the past year even though i know for a fact the whey protein has come down in cost and so has road transport cost.
Certain companies dont care how how much they take the p1ss,even to the point they will stop trading at an agreed price to raise the cost by destroying margins....others are much more friendly and realise the p1ss taking will eventually make them look bad long term so offer as best a deal as they can.
I have seen huge differences in prices for what is essentially the same product (whey protein blend with probiotics etc) even though they are mainly european sourced whey proteins.
 
I think a lot of the cost of whey protein is now over inflated due to people using the $ to £ exchange rate ,which affected the american brands imported into the UK such as BSN.

£1.35 for 375g bag.

250-300ml Hot water + 10 Sweetners dissolved + 100g dry Soya + tsp cinnamon = Mix it up, eat!
Cutting on a strict diet at the moment so dont allow it, but later ill be adding raisins and all types of goodness.
By the way i've tried sweeters + Vanilla, Strawberry, Cocoa, Pepper mint, Cocoa+Peppermint, Choco+vanilla and loads of other flavours but cinnamon is king(plus a good addition to ones diet).

yum yum yum - Sweet cinnamony lovelyness with 51g of protein, 2g fat and 21 carbs...muha!

Ive posted this numerous times, every time i got called crazy by everyone else who eats soyamince(tio/daveo and others have posted other recipes btw). I personally cant stand it in bolognese sauce, tastes like rubberyness...but sweet? yum.

I use granulated splenda, not the tabs.  Do I need to use a lot to get it tasting nice??

Did you get your TVP from Tesco?

I find other brands don't taste as good.

100g TVP + 150-200ml water is normally what i use, then 2-3g cinnamon, then cover with splenda. Sweetner tabs work out fat cheaper, 1000 in a tube ofr ~£1.30 from LIDL they're great.

Yeah it's from Tesco mate.  I'll give it a bash this week then I'm going to try eating it at work.  Like you said, probly mix it up at home and put some boiling water on at work.

Yeah.

If i need a snack i normally throw in a egg white into the mix, stir it up lay it flat on a plate and microwave it for 4-5minutes then leave it to cool down. It cooks the egg, which binds it all together and creates a huge "Biscuit" that i cut up, then i have a TVP Cinnamon Biscuit to eat whereever i may be.

Suppose you could blend a banana up and add it to the mix for a banana/cinnamon TVP biscuit, may be nice who knows.
