Hi Lambo, Something that has always puzzled me about prison life is how many guys go in skinny and are released bulked , toned and in many cases bigger than most of us dream about!! In the 'free' world we strive to train , eat , sleep and live well to maximise our bodies. Yet , and I suppose I am influenced by the U.S. yard type penetentuaries , in prison you have a basic diet , basic gym time and stress!!!! I know you said you can get hold of various supplements sometimes but these alone cant do it can they??? Or is it just the clean (ie no junk food) living and plenty of sleep and forced exercise that does it??? Intrigued by your answer!! Regards Pete

hi there staffspeted great question, British prisons are completely different to American prisons.. here your entitled to x2visits to the exercise yard a day, but theres no weights there just a big piece of tarmac and a high fence thats it. ive been to 3 prisons in various parts of the country and i dont know one inmate that has come in skinny and gone out massive.. yes you can get good gains if you have the money in your account and you have the right job within the prison i.e gym orderly. any body that ive seen with a decent physique has either been doing a life sentence and has just channelled their time or they have been keen gym enthusiasts before hand.. from what i am aware American jails se the gym as away of calming prisoners down and releasing any anger they might have.. over here its seen more as a specialized privilege that can far too easily be removed. plus over here the system see's the gym as a threat, i personally have been on the receiving end of this many times..
