I cant afford (sorry that's not helpful) I get my blood done free at docs for cholesterol and liver enzymes and vit count, I figure after pct if you keep your gains and strength is still improved you must have recovered, I know this is not perfect but if you cant afford it then you cant. I'm 6 weeks after pct now and still have kept all of my strength gains so I just presume all ok, please point out if there could be a prob with this logic?? Cheers

Tell the Doctor the truth - whenever I've used AAS and wanted blood tests I've just told the Doctor what I'm doing. You'll get a lecture, it's their job (even though some of the lecture will probably contain some factual inaccuracies haha) but once they learn that you've already educated yourself about the risks and the fact that you're showing some responsibility by asking for tests then they tend to quiet down on the lectures.

All well and good but they wont buy it 5/6 times a year. I had private test`s done a few years back and it was about £200, so factor in before cycle test and after and it will be very expensive.

Do you guys not get bloods done on the NHS in England? We have a place up North, A clinic I suppose for all types of drug abuse, AAS included so they're more than happy to be taking your blood and getting you tested for pretty much anything you wish, I will be visiting them tomorrow for some checks, Its all hush hush too, nothing goes on any record for docs to see or anyone else.

They wont perform hormone checks 5 to 6 times a year, no - but blood lipids, liver profile, renal function, blood cell count, glucose levels, thyroid etc etc etc - they will give you one of those multiple times a year, I've had them multiple times per year. The GP wont help you manage your cycle with monitoring your hormones but he will help you monitor your health and check for damage but only if you're completely honest about what it is you're doing.

In my experience UK GP's don't give a **** about male hormone issues. When I had depression before I knew much about t levels and the link, not a word was said by the doctor despite the fact at the time without realising it I gave some of the low t level symptoms. No tests were done. As for private blood tests, I rung a private clinic/hospital the other day and asked if they do hormone blood test etc, she said yes........ But you need to be referred by a GP,.... Well it's not really ****ing private is it then. As for Internet tests, the only ones I've seen are saliva tests and I've heard negative feed back so wouldn't waste money on it. If I were you I'd go to your GP's the wankers that they are, and demand a blood test. If he refuses just reel off the low t symptoms and despite whether he thinks your lying or not he's pretty much obliged, if not say you want a second opinion. NHS=Non Helpfull Sham
