Shoulders and Abs

DB Shoulder Press -
Set 1 = 34kg DB's - 8 reps / Set 2 = 34kg DB's 8 reps 

Smith Machine Press - Set 1 = 50kg +Bar 10 reps / Set 2 = 50kg +bar 10 reps

Cable front raises - Set 1 = 30kg 16 reps / Set 2 = 35kg 14 reps

Cable Side Lat Raises - Set 1 = 20kg 14 reps / Set 2 = 25kg - 12 reps

Cable rear delt raises - Set 1 = 10kg 14 reps / Set 2 = 10kg 14 reps

Cable Upright Rows - Set 1 = 85kg 12 reps / 90kg = 12 reps

DB Shrugs - 40kg DB's = 16 slow reps / 40kg DB's 15 slow reps

Abs - Leg Raises and machine crunches

All in all a good session, I thought I would have increased the DB presses, but the last rep I was struggling on so I didnt want to increase just yet.

I've changed things around a bit on shoulders, doing more cable work on the raises, just to switch it up a little, I don't think it makes much difference doing cable work with these kind of excersises as they're not exactly mass builders!

I dropped the weight down on shrugs, just because I wanted to get some nice controlled reps out, as I think heavy deads and back work really bring out my traps, so prob no need to go stupidly heavy on this.

Really good session, my legs are aching today!
Also, started to train my arms on leg day for abit again, have used this method before, just because I recently injured my tendons in my forearms and they take too much of a battering on back day. Plus it is always good to switch it up

Day 30

Aching today from legs last night, good thing though, although I have ran out of L-Glut so prob explains why I am aching more.

Tonight I just went and did some cardio and some extra ab work.
Just did a 15 min high intensity run, don't like to do anymore than that if HIIT especially as I currently in a calories deficit.

Got weighed tonight and I am now 14.10 stone, this is same as start weight, so has come down a couple of pounds over the last couple weeks, but my BF is without a doubt a good couple of % lower, you will see when I post the pics up at the end of cycle, I have been cutting back quite a lot on the carbs though as I really want to get as cut as poss before cycle finishes.

Do you find the L-Glut really works, I was going to order some but read a few reports that it had no effect on recovery.

It's hard to say for definate really mate, but I do think it works TBH.
As I say, I've recently ran out of the stuff after using for constantly using it over the past 1 n half years, and I can really feel the difference! esp after legs last night, so I would recommend it.

Best time to use it is straight after training and before bed time (if you've trained that night). Just add a tea spoon to you shake.

Day 31

For some reason, I wasn't feeling as strong in the gym for this one. I had no training partner (again) which I wasn't best pleased about, as chest is really the only night I could use someone there.

Anyway, this is what I did.

Chest and Triceps

Incline BB Press -
Set 1 = 90kg 5 reps / Set 2 = 90kg 5 reps

I managed to get a lad from the gym to spot me, and I'm glad I did as need a little help on the last rep.

DB Flat Press - Set 1 = 40kg 7 reps / Set 2 = 40kg 6 reps

Decline BB Press - Set 1 = 90kg 7 reps / Set 2 = 90kg 7reps

Pec Dec - Set 1 = 60kg 16 reps / Set 2 = 70kg 14 reps

Cable Pull Downs - Set 1 = 85kg 10 reps / Set 2 = 85kg 10 reps
 
Body Weight close Grip Dips - Set 1 = 18 slow reps / Set 2 = 16 slow reps

For some reason, I just wasn't "feelin' it" at the gym. Not a terribly bad session, but not as good as I would have liked.

Don't like training my chest on my own TBH, just because I really like to push myself, and don't feel as though I can quite as much when I am on my own.

Anyway, a positive point lol... chest is looking big (regardless of the rubbish session) and I am going to be training back tonight, so deadlifts here we gp for another PB!! Gonna go for 215kg tonight and see how many I can get out - wish me luck! -

Wide Grip Pull Ups - Set 1 = +10kg 10 reps / Set 2 = +15kg 6 reps followed instantly by 8 Body weight only reps.

DB Rows -
Set 1 = 44kg DB's - 8 reps / Set 2 = 44kg DB's 8 reps

Pulley - Set 1 = 60kg 12 reps / Set 2 = 70kg 10 reps

Lat Pull Downs - Close grip under arm -
Set 1 = 70kg 10 reps / Set 2 = 70kg 8 reps


Good session all together, very pleased with the PB, I just couldnt quite lock out for the 4th rep (hence why I put 3 and a half lol).
Considering I'm in a calorie deficit, I'm impressed with the PB.

So much adrenaline before my 2nd set of deads, I was a little bit sick in my mouth haha... I sometimes wonder why the hell I do it to myself, but then I lift 215kg and know it's all worth it!

Added the under arm lat pull downs in as I am not training biceps with back anymore. I like doing these as they really bring the lower lpart of the lats out.

Day 34

Didn't up date for yesterday (day 33).
I did go to the gym, just did some light chest work, really concentrating on the muscle contraction, did 1 set of 30 reps on wide grip dips, then 20 reps on the chest press machine, and the pec deck, some abs, and a 10min HI run.

It was my work Xmas night out last night, so I had quite a lot to drink... drank plenty of water when I got in (at 3 this morning) and a protein shake, feelin rough as a dogs ar$e today though, so it is a good job that Sunday is rest day for me!

Looking really lean at the minute, which is great! I have def dropped a good 2 or 3 % BF up to now, and although I dont think my measurements will have increased much with regard to muscle gain, they will have definately stayed the same and my waist has without doubt become smalller.

Sides have been ok mate..... had sleep probs from the 11-test at the begining of the cycle, so lowered the dosage. BP has gone up considerably, but I guess that is to be expected.

You been bulking or cutting?

Yeah was not feeling a heavy leg session, but TBH I had another sh!t night sleep again last night.. doing my head in, but I managed to sleep more than Monday so I will go to gym tonight and do legs!

I only do 4 sets on tri's and bi's dude... as long as I go pretty heavy on them, I find it is all they need, especially as they get trained indirectly with chest/back.

I've just worked out that this is actually day 41, so I have obviously mis-counted somewhere along the line lol.

Just to update on the sleep probs, unfortuantely I am still suffering with them, had another sh!t night sleep last night... it is starting to really do my head in now.

I am sure that the Halo / 11 test are contributing to the sleep probs, but I only have today and tomorrow left on them and then the cycle is over so I'm sure things will pick up after that.

I will do a full evaluation with after pics/measurements over the weekend so watch out for that.

Tonight is the good old T-shirt muscles, Chest (and abs lol), hoping to get some good lifts done, but let's see.

Leg Press - Set 1 = 350kg 14 reps (+2) / Set 2 = 350kg 13 reps

Calf Raise (leg press) - Set 1 =  330kg 14 reps / Set 2 = 330kg 14 reps

Smith Machine Claf Raise - Set 1 = 100 kg 28 reps / 100kg = 28 reps

Seated DB Curls - Set 1 = 18kg DB's 10 reps / Set 2 = 20kg 9 reps

Cable Straight bar curls - Set 1 = 70kg 10 reps / Set 2 = 70kg 12 reps

Not a bad session my lack of sleep this week, I'm sure I would have done better though if I'd been sleeping better.
 

Immense leg session dude! Kinda makes your bis sets look weak. How come you only do 4 sets on bis?

Lol, Iceman just asked me the same thing actually :-) I just find that 4 sets is enough for bi's and tri's personally.... I've not been going super heavy on bi's though due to tendon problems in my forearms (from using the EZ bar).
I will put them up gradually though.

I had exactly the same problem. (tennis and golfers elbow) couldn't train bis for nearly a year, I got around this by doing negative grip back exercises, so putting emphasis on the bis. I started taking cissus and it really helped a lot. I now find that I can train bis again.

The trick is to manage the injury, use lifting straps on back days and stay clear of preacher curls and the EZ bar. Also stretch the forearms out 4 times a day at as many angles as you can think of.


PCT is going well, only lost 1lb of weight after 2 weeks and bf is still at 9% (ish)
