Just had my first attempt at making these! Had to use a bit of water as it was solid! Question,do you put in the fridge to set before cutting them? Give the outcome in half an hour.

Made these last night at first attempt, balls up! I added water as I thought it was too thick to flatten out. Started from scratch again and added more oats and raisins, lot better outcome this time! I used My proteins unflavoured whey for it,tastes lovely just like a snickers without the chocolate!

I have found that adding water helps massively in both holding the bar together and improving the texture. Just made some bars out of, peanut butter, honey, whey, splenda and water, lower carbs and tastes just as good.

I have a full box of oat so simple to use up, wife bought for the kids who never ate it and not something I'd use. Can they be used inplace of the oats in this recipe?

220g of Peanut butter 120g protein whey powder (4x 30g scoops, chocolate flavour is better)) 7 Tablespoons of honey 70g porridge oats (or 2x 36g of quick porridge, chocolate flavour is better) splash of milk (1/4 - 1/2 pint) small bag of mixed fruit and nut small bag of brazils (broken up) Put peanut butter and honey in a glass bowl to melt in pan of simmering water. Mix other ingredients in and place into a square tin (I used and oven tin), put into fridge to set, then cut into 12 bars. Tastes great (like snickers).

This looks great! I am so sick of shakes so need to go down the bar route I think! Can anyone quantify this into gram quantities please? Ie x grams of this y grams of that ect.. Ive had a go but they end up very sloppy and sticky even after a night in the fridge. They aint like the shop ones :) Any ideas on low cal filler binder that sets ahrd in the fridge? Thanks guys tbip2001

I made these a while back when I was on MT, and now training again made them a few days ago. Made them with choc mint, they are awesome. Gonna add nuts and mixed fruits for the next batch (which I'm making tomorrow..lol). Thanks again Bigfella ;)

Mine are in the oven as we speak! Might get a photo if I can find my camera in the next ten minutes; if not, then I'll report back on taste and do some more in a few days. Dammit - why not make a youtube video?
aut viam inveniam aut faciam I will either find a way or make one.
