Are whey and casein considered dairy?

Common sense says yes but i have no official world on that.

Well mixed with milk. Obviously. I also though Whey was a milk form anyway? (I don't mean it's milk. But thought it consisted of milk?)

It is a milk derivate (the protein of milk) therefore it is dairy. but as afar as nutrition and bodybuilding purposes I am not sure as it has no lactose and/or it is not just dried out lactose free milk.

they both come from dairy products initially, but i dont really see that you need to classify them as diary.

do you have a special reason for wanting to classify them?
