How long can you keep it mixed in water for? Does it damage the protein or doesn't it matter? Thanks guys

Not sure why you would want to keep it in water as adding to water does not take more than 5 seconds... But anyway to answer your question, once mixed wit water treat the same way as you would treat milk... No it does not "damage" the protein anymore than opening a tin of tuna and putting it in the fridge for 2 days would damage the protein in the tuna..

If you're using unflavoured whey it'll taste foul if over two hours. If it was really impossible to mix at work ie can't get to water, I'd rather take a second shaker of water and mix them when needed.

Water is cal free. Although milk has Bvits which are good for protein absorption apparently. But yes, when I used to use milk I tried water and didn't like it. Now, watching the cals and using water, I hate it with milk. I have unflavored isolate so with water it's real thin so I can neck it in a second.

Only use water, and make 500ml instead of the recommended 400ml. The reasons being, before i did this i would be lucky to drink 1/2 pint of water per day (have a latte in the morning and one in the evening, so drank milk). I did start mixing with milk, but then realised i was drinking about 3 pints per day (including cereal) and putting weight on. I now have the lattes drinks (with One milk), and tea, plus my shake mixed with water to increase my water intake. I have actually lost a bit more weight doing this.
