Protein soup?? 05 February 2012 18:48 (permalink)
Evening all.
As subject says i am looking for some sort of high protein soup recipe.
I like the idea of soup as you can get protein and Veg in a convenient way.
Any ideas would be great.

I do a wicked chicken soup and add whatever veg I like and add some brown rice mmmmmmm

Easy mate just boil the chicken before adding it into the chicken stock you can buy cubes dead easy.

I simmer the veg and chicken stock until it's all soft and then just add the chicken simmer for 5/10mins and it's done.

If you fancy adding brown rice just cook it before adding it to the soup

Chicken is the best meat I've done for soup

Go on youtube loads of ideas matey

I get a tin of Heinz soup, get a bowl, chop a cooked chicken breast in to pieces, pour in soup, bing for 3 mins - bingo protein soup - have it everyday day in work for lunch.

Vegetable?  Lobster bisque also, but that is usually quite pricey and also has cream in it normally.....

I love pumpkin soup with cottage cheese mixed through, it goes all melty, it's also nice with canned tuna or salmon. I add tuna to loads of different soups, such as homemade blended green soups (e.g leek, brussells sprouts, courgettes etc.)

Or try a Japanese/Thai style soup with clear broth - green beans, courgettes, onions, fish sauce, lime juice, stevia and you can add chicken breast or white fish.

You could add beef to a vege soup too. Getting hungry now lol
