Protien digestion problem, I've bought some Bull attack AMINO BLOG 6000 Extreme-Series II. 08 February 2012 21:44 (permalink)
I've got a problem with my digestion where i can only eat limited amounts of protien foods or I get ill.
I've bought some Amino Acid tablets called 'Bull attack AMINO BLOG 6000 Extreme-Series II' from Ebay.
They arrived today in a foil pouch with 140 quite big tablets inside.

When I tasted a tablet (chewed it all up), the taste was almost tasteless - a little bit sweet.

I have never tasted amino acids before so have no way of knowing what they should taste like.

The advertised amino acids stated dose said:

protien 5000mg

L-Leucine (BCAA) 740 mg L-Threonine 364 mg L-Isoleucine (BCAA) 322 mg L-Methionine 096 mg L-Valine (BCAA) 328 mg L-Phenylalanine 226 mg L-Lysine 588 mg L-Tryptophan 116 mg L-Arginine 170 mg L-Glycine 124 mg L-Cysteine 174 mg L-Histidine 122 mg L-Alanin 332 mg L-Proline 332 mg L-Aspartic Acid 666 mg L-Serine 312 mg L-Glutamine 1062 mg L-Tyrosine 224 mg

-------------------------------------------------------

Shouldn't the tablet have had a strong taste and maybe bitter or something?

I don't understand how something that's called an acid had no real taste at all?

The label looked cheap and like one that could have been done on a home printer.

Could these cheap foil supplements be just a scam?

Any opinions please?

Nige

Thankfully if you were, you weren't scammed by much!

I dont know that make mate looking at the ingredients what youve wrote that looks fine but as you say I dunno if thats whats in them

Your right BCAAs would taste bitter not sweet.

When you say the label looks like its done on a home printer that sets off alarm bells for me.
I did a search on ebay I cant even see these anymore that would also set off alarm bells.

I hate to condem something if I dont know it but IMHO i dont like the sound of them.

That is the one I bought. I checked his feedback rating and it is 99.6 and he looked ok.

I've read that they should have a horrible bitter taste. These were tastless and slightly sweet.

Maybe he bought a bulk purchase off someone and got ripped off abd is unaware of it. I will contact him see what he says.

What a ridiculous name. I don't understand why you would buy supplements from eBay and then query their integrity thereafter, rather than just buying from a reputable brand/supplier in the first place. Buying from a bulk supplier would be far cheaper too.

Hi all, I contacted the seller he told me they are a good product, I think that are are probably just pure protien tablets and the ingredients said wheat protien so as it taste similar to a whey protien I had years ago then.

I wanted pure amino acids though and I don't think that this is what I was looking for. The seller thinks they are really good though, he seems genuine enough.

                    here is his reply.

                    Thanks for contacting us.

I'm an amateur bodybuilder and have trialled this product myself to good effect for over 6 months before including it in my shop. My colleagues too who are athletes have given me good feedback on this product. As my Ebay feedback shows i am a reputable seller and have been around for years. I sell to athletes from various sports and supply gyms nationwide and globally. If i sold inferior products, rest assured i would not have the high positive feedback that i do. Our products work, that's why we stock them. For any that are not successful, we don't stock them.

The manufacturer is Bull Attack. They can be googled and found online and sell in the USA, Germany and the UK. Rest assured all products we sell are genuine products, some are expensive, most are ecomonical because in hard times people are trying to save money. Rather than pay excessive amounts for packaging you're just going to put in the bin, we have some products which come in no frills packaging, the contents however remain the same.

Just like any protein pack, be it whey or otherwise, it can come in tasteless forms, or flavoured forms. Sometimes proteins are flavoured because either they are tasteless or more often than not they taste outright foul. In order to make it more palatable it is normal to associate flavours to them to make them more pleasurable. You get whey in chocolate and banana and toffee and strawberry and so on. Those however are not the natural flavours of the proteins or bcaas. It is to make the experience nicer. The same applies for this product.

Tribulus has a bitter taste as does some carnitine as per my experience but i have never had protein that tastes bitter and i have been training since 2002. I trust that helps. Thanks

                    kind regards
                    Adam

yes he does seem genuine obviously he could be saying anything but the ingredients are sound and its a decent response IMO, its just wether thats whats actually in them.

if you can get a good deal on ebay fine but id stick to brands i know even if buying from ebay.
Personally Next time id go with BCAA powder from a bulk supplier

With one possible exception amino acids are typically bitter or acidic. From the ebayers reply it's possible these are not amino acid tablets but, as with another companies similar product, just protein. In the example I'm thinking of they were just whey. So protein rich and hence amino rich too. But not an actual amino acid chewable or whatever

I've ordered 200g of essential amino acids from Oneon, cheaper than the other and better value.
