Pulled muscle?
07 February 2012 07:18

Hi folks, I've just recently got back in to leg training after a long lay off due to injury. Just doing squats 3 times a week to get the strength back. A couple of times last week, the inside of my right quad got really tight and a bit painful as I got through my sets (doing 4x6-8reps). On friday I put it down to not being able to do my usual warm up on the bike, but I got the same yesterday by my third set. I used a foan roller, my kncukles and a cricket ball on it last night and it's a bit tender today. Just not too sure if it's a bit of cramp/result of my unconciously favouring my left leg due to a year of what I thought was sciatica or if I've pulled it a bit.

If you've pulled it you probably would have felt it on your first set - maybe worthwhile laying off for a week and giving it a complete rest then go back again with a lighter weight.

Joeschop I suggest you go and see Nigel McHollan who I recommended before, he is getting some awesoem results. I believe he is the nearest biomechanics coach to you being in Edinburgh
