Question about diet... 19 January 2012 10:22 (permalink)
Im currently dieting, so im hitting about 1750 cals a day, im also obviously trying to keep my muscle mass, so im consuming 130g+ a day of protein. Im 6ft 2, 77kg, and want to shed about 4% bodyfat (Currently 14%)

Question is...if I keep working out etc, will I still build muscle? Or will all the protein im consuming go on basic bodily functioning? Any advice would be great ;)
Heres an example of my diet:

Breakfast: Shake / Veg

Snack Fruit

Dinner: Chicken Breast + Soy Bread Sandwich

Snack: Protein Bar

Tea: Vegetables + Grilled Chicken Breast

Snack; Shake / Fruit.

Its the first time ive ever attempted to eat healthy, Im 31, and I cooked vegetables for the first time last week!

What times are your meals at?
And to gain mucscle mass you must have a calorie surplus, to lose fat you must be in a deficit, therefor both can't be achieved at once, this is the reason bodybuilders (most) bulk and cut cycle, so in the off season they can add mass and in the on season look good.

Post up times for your meals and training times, but from what you have put it looks poor and needs work so we can help you from there.

Oh and also can you give serving sizes, and define "shake"
