Recommended BF% for Epi
20 January 2012 11:47
( permalink)
Hi guys, New to this forum, thought i would join so i could get an opinion on BF% and pro-hormones. Im 26, weigh 190lbs, 5ft9, BF% 20.7. I train 5 days a week, intermediate lifter trained on and off for 3 years. However i have a short term goal so i am starting a cycle of epi next week, 4-5 week cycle 20/30/30/30/30 .i have everything in place to start, chapparal labs epi, cycle support (milk thistle etc) and 4 week PCT ( androbolix & Esto supress). Now the question is, i know pro-hormones are more effective on people with a lower BF %, however do you think i am going to get any issues with me using them in terms of me being at 20.7%? bearing in mind that figure is going to drop whilst on epi. any input would be great guys. I know im probably going to be ok as im far from obese, in fact im in good shape just a bit round the abdominal which lets me down. cheers

I am by no means an expert and have only ever done one cycle of EPI but had dramatic results on it. I'm not toned, far from it, but I'd reached a point physically which I couldn't break in terms of strength, stamina, size. I decided to try EPI, after countless questions and months of research, to see if I could break down that wall to push harder - and **** me did it work. I was more visibly toned up top (I'm primarily a cyclist) and over the 6 weeks lost around 12lb in weight but manged to gain 2" around my thighs. I think you have to really think about what do you actually want to get out of your cycle? On a side note sadly I've lost most of my gains due to an elbow injury and constantly trying to "cut". Oh well roll on 5th March ;)

Yeh i am currently in bulking season until april so just got a few months left. Just trying to gain as much muscle as possible until april then i will be cutting for 12 weeks. The question i am really asking is would i have any adverse side effects due to not having a very low bf%? I have no doubt epi is going to improve my bf% and increase muscle im just wondering if theres a recommended limit of BF that someone should be before they start a cycle. If that makes sense lol

Well, since aromatization happens in fat tissue you are more likely to get problems with gyno, I've read. ;)

I don't think there's any 'recommended BF%' for any steroid use mate, its down to the individual to decide whether they want to use a steroid or not, and if they do, for what purpose. Yeah sure, if you were leaner you may 'see' the results in a mirror a little more, perhaps. But what you see and what you've gained could be very different things, we all know that we look better and bigger in a photograph if leaner, but we might be stronger and carry far more muscle at a higher bf. I would have no concern over any supposedly increased gyno risk as a mode of your bf.

RE Gyno on EPI I experienced none myself, either on cycle, PCT or on time off. Its been over 6 months since and (quick grope) things seem fine. I'm really looking forward to my next cycle! I keep going onto Dragons site and filling up a cart already to check out but I know I'd be far to tempted to start the cycle yesterday so to speak! need to natty for a few weeks yet
