Routine help no access to the gym
-

( #1 )
Hi everyone, I have been working out as a beginner for nearly a year and have been progressing quite well. Straight after Christmas I am going abroad for 6 months, I will traveling around a great deal and will have little or no access to a gym. Basically I was wondering if anyone could let me know of any routines I could do in hotel rooms etc, to maintain the muscle and size I have gained? Cheers

Weighted press up's and crunches, I guess if you're used to moving a lot of weight they might not be that effective though.

Surely you can find a gym as you travel around? As long as you train each body part at least every two weeks you should be fine holding onto current size and strength. I'd suggest you have a push/pull/legs routine since you can be very flexible with it i.e. if in one place for a few days with a gym nearby you can do a 3 day split and really hammer exercises. If however you know you'll be somewhere without access simply merge it all into one workout (less volume of course per bodypart) at the latest opportunity before you go there. Make sense?
