SCARED TO EAT!!

i don't know what to do i've lost a lot of fat and am now trying to increase lean mass i know i have to eat, but every time i do i feel soo guilty. don't know what to do. stuck between two hard places. has anyone been through this?

I guess it may help if you take a structured planned approach to the process. - Formulate a good diet plan that meets your requirements (if you need help post in the diet section)
- Regularly monitor weight change and progress in the gym
- Be prepared to adjust diet intake as necessary (both up AND down in calories)
- Be consistent (with diet and training)
- Eat as clean as possible, but factor in the occasional cheat to keep you sane
- Remember weight gain is usually a slow process (fat gain and lean mass gain) so dont let the fear of fat gain hold your lean gains back
- As long as you are monitoring and have control you will be very unlikely to gain an excessive amount of fat.
I know all of this is NOT easy to acheive but if you approach it in a well prepared, structured manner your chance of success will be greatly improved. And hopefully(!) fear of fat gain will not be an issue. Good luck!

everyone has to eat as long as you dont go above you daily calorie count you WONT put on weight! How did you loose your weight as surley by staying with this you will be fine|!

yeah mate went through the same thing few weeks ago eating more made me feel guilty but eating the right stuff at the right times works wonders does ya head in for a while but stick and you will be fine i started gently adding calories with protein shakes and the increased food slowly putting on some good lean muscle now and feel great trust me its worth it

I get asked about weight loss a lot when I'm at work and this is the first thing I will always say before anything else. Even though the diet side of fitness is the hard part, it's very achievable with some preparation, will power and research.

I think the best thing you can do is to try and eat relatively cleanly as much as possible, that may reduce the feelings of 'guilt'. Good luck :)

im fighting it, its hard and because im trying to build muscle there are major conflicts. i know i have to eat but the its like oh i've eate tooo much and gonna put on fat. its sooooo hard had a mate who started on laxatives because it gog so bad, i don't want to go down that road. event that is too far lol

Work out your BMR, this is how many calories your body needs throughout the day.(also work out what extra calories you need because of training) Maybe if you work out how many calories your body actually needs you might not feel so guilty about what you eat. I actually went through a similar phase quite a few years ago. In the end i ended up losing even more weight(mainly muscle)and looked awful. For me even now i feel guilty about eating certain things, im sure everyone does!If you do then get out and do something!For me i take my dog for a walk, or go for a jog round the park.Keeping active will make you feel less guilty and you dont even have to go to the gym!

Whenever I feel guilty I get active. Whether that's going for a walk or simply heading to the gym I make sure that I burn enough off to keep me at my current weight.
