Scrambled Eggs On Toast for breki!

I notice a lot of you suggest having oats and eggs for breakfast. At the moment am just having 50g of oats for breki and whey in water. I wanted to bring eggs in as well to give more protein first off but thought get rid of the porridge and just have scrambled eggs on toast as it is a lot more convinient than porridge then just eggs and it would definetly taste better. I would have 5 whites 1 yolk on 2 slices of wholemeal or granary bread. Anyone see any problem with this?

scrambled eggs on granary bread is a good choice, but you're only getting around 20g protein with 5 whites + one whole egg.

I could be wrong but five whites is not a huge amount of protein, I think it's about 4g of pro per white and a couple more for the one yolk. If you are having that as well as your whey then no issue, but if it's instead of your whey then maybe not a great idea. Just an opinon mate.

smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, in a big enough portion, makes up the protein without overdosing on scramble.

i often have it when i eat breakfast out.

and it can be a handy snack meal when you're out too.

scrambled eggs on granary bread is a good choice

An even better choice would be scrambled eggs on wholemeal bread, IIRC almost all UK supermarket granary bread is white bread (milled flour) with malted wheat or barley flour added to it.

"Unless the packaging states that it is stoneground wheatmeal with added malted grain, it is almost certain to be roller-milled flour with added caramel, bran, molasses and malt extract."

tescos large eggs are 8.5g protein iirc. the protein content of whole egg and just whites outlined above are for medium sized eggs, which are circa 7g protein for the whole egg. the white on a large egg will probably be around 4g.

just have a whey shake aswell, job done. Or 2 whole large eggs + 2 -3 whites
    =
    ~ 8g * 2 + 4g * 3 = 28g protein

no problem mate, iirc tesco do medium, large, and Extra large eggs - it may be that you have the extra large, still cant imagine they are 12g+ of protein tho, i suspect about 10g.
