You trained in jeans?! That must be uncomfortable!

Well done mate, thats a strong pull at well under 90kgs. You thought about competing?

No talc on my jeans... they're a decent pair of Levis which I wear when I go out, but they're also designed as an oversized fit - so they are nice and loose around my quads but still fit my waist properly. The Taekwondo ones are even better for that and aren't restrictive no matter what I do.
Chalking up the thighs is to help the bar slide up them IIRC, but I don't seem to have any issues with it there so I've never bothered.

Phil, I've considered it, but I'd like to get a few training sessions in with some powerlifters beforehand so I don't turn up and do something silly and end up seeing nothing but red lights. I've read the BPC rulebook now, so I have a basic idea, but I'm still very green . I'm down near Brighton in case anyone reads this and wants to know.
It also seems that all federations allow at least single ply lifting specific clothing (i.e. equipped). I've never trained like this, and it doesn't really appeal either (but I've not tried it so it's just a preconceived opinion at the moment).

I know the BDFPA do an unequipped category, not too sure on BAWLA though. Im pretty sure the BPC and BPO dont do a seperate category so you would be at a disadvantage in those comps with out the equipment.
