Serious business

im new here and have come from a land far far away, well a different forum. now one thing i notice is how serious everyone here is. i had a post removed because i said cock in it ffs. what is going on. is all the training stressing everyone out to the point where you cant make a funny post. i say make a waffle section for threads with no regard for the subject and for people to have a laugh and not take things so seriously, i could see quite a few threads already that would go well in there.

Roger, Welcome to MT mate. You should really play by the rules mate. Unless of course you are well 'ard a la Ray Winstone and you wish to find out who the toughest nut in the joint is and show him whose patch this really is. ^ Disregard that mate ^ Rules are rules and are here for a reason. MT is not the biggest board in the UK by accident! Now I shall hand you back your toys and can we all play nicely and get along? :-)

MT wants to appeal to all, and believe it or not, not everyone wants to see constant nob jokes, bad language and pictures of nude women (wel, basically women don't want to see these things!)

I wish I was more attractive like Dagless.

the moderation is actually pretty funny at times on here, waiting for tony to pounce on a thread cracks me up at times! It may at times seem over moderated, but thats better than under moderated, you want that go to 4chan!!!!! *i went there the other day and saw a pic that i didnt even have the balls to double take at, a glimpse was enough!

S777 It may at times seem over moderated, but thats better than under moderated never a truer word said. There are plenty of boards where anything goes so if that tickles your fancy then off you go. If you want to make a joke here you have to PM James with it first and then at the mods monthly meeting they voted on whether or not the joke is good/bad. If the joke is good then you are allowed post it but ifs its bad then James usually robs it and passes it off as his own on the forum......

I do lurk and occasionally post on another site (which I know Nigeepoo also frequents) which has no moderation, the owner refuses to ban anyone, ever. But it is a forum full of pretty intelligent people so you don't get the childish threads which degenerate into name-calling like on a lot of other forums. Anyone who came along just to post crap would get absolutely hammered by the rest of the members. So the 'anything goes' approach can work but only with certain types of people.

what in the name of god is wrong with nob jokes. I'm with you 100%. But some people (women) don't find men's humour particularly amusing and it would stop them wanting to come to the site. So we have to behave. There are other forums you can go to indulge your childish side!

Whilst I have no big problem with the odd cock joke or the use of the word!..... posting 'show her your cock' in a serious thread (as opposed to banter / silly stuff) that has been started by somebody who is seeking some relationship advice / help - is not appropriate. Hence why I removed it...and please don't think that because I am female I can't laugh at a nob joke, because plenty of members on here will tell you that i can and I do! I do have a sense of humour, but I just felt your comment was inappropriate on that particular thread.

Giant Roger ok it stops here. dont ban me. im going elsewhere to be foolish. dont ban me though its a v good site for information. im off now. and apoligies Please don't feel you're going to be banned for voicing your opinion; whilst we want to keep the crap out, the last thing we want is for people to be afraid to post! You'd only be banned if you continuously posted things like 'show your cock'. You'll see, in time, why we have these rules here, and I am positive you'll acknowledge they're for the best Enjoy MT
