Thanks a lot mate, photo was taken yesterday morning. I'm quite happy with the progress I've made with my arms, delts, back and legs. However, my chest hasn't grown at all . I've since addressed my routine, so when I begin bulking again the little bastard won't have any choice! Uploading some more pics no Eddie so you can see...EVERYTHING!

Whoa i saw everything, my eyes, my eyes!!! You have a very similar bodyshape to me as it goes, chest is also a stickler for growth for myself but i havent gone for bulking for long enough to try and make it grow tbh. Drop 20lbs of fat and i think you shall look the business. How long you planning on cutting for?

Aww thanks a lot mate Was planning on going on a 12 week cut. Hopefully shift 1-2lbs a week. Should be able to drop 20lb by the end of it I think Can't wait to lean out a little bit. I just don't feel like a bodybuilder ATM. I've never been happy with my body, so in 2 years time I'd like to have some serious mass and a low body fat. I want people to see me walking past and say "Daaaayyym!" and run off to Holland and Barratt for a tub of Weightgainer 3000 so they can look just like me . Seriously though, when you can look at me and tell I'm a serious bodybuilder, that's when I'll be happy. Not content, but happy

A serious bodybuilder/trainer knows how to work with their weak points and turn them into strong/balanced points. When that happens consider yourself a proper bodybuilder Rome wasnt built in a day nor was ones perfect physique, important thing to remember is you are making progress and never give up. As for being happy well considering how far youve come since i first saw your pics i think a pat or two on the back is well earned and in fact very well deserved BTW whats the routine like for chest atm?

Thanks a lot for all the kind words Ed. I'm so committed to bodybuilding and very patient. It is sometimes frustrating to know that if someone looked at you they'd have no idea that you even worked out, let alone bust your a55 in the gym 5 nights a week, but no matter how many things stand in my way I'm just going to keep pushing and pushing until I've achieved what I want to. I know my progress isn't extraordinary, but it was strange to suddenly have delts and arms which actually looked bigger than most. We'll see how big they look with less fat covering them up though lol . Long road ahead, but I'm gonna keep pushing and pushing. Chest/ triceps routine now is something like: Bench press - 10, 5, 5, 5 (pyramiding weight) Dumbbell bench press - 12, 8-10, 8-10 Incline dumbell press - 12, 8-10, 8-10 Incline flyes - 10, 10 (Sometimes a fifth chest exercise, such as incline machine press or pec deck for 2 sets) Dips - 10, 10, 10 (actually it's more like 7, 7, 7, but when my strength is up and weight is down is should improve) Skull crushers - 10, 10 Tricep pushdown - 10, 8 Something like that, though I sometimes only do two exercises for triceps. Four of five sets are always done for chest, mostly using free weights. When I start bulking I'll switch my routine up every 3 months or so, and do drop sets/ supersets every fourth week. --UPDATE-- Measurements and weight unknown. May start checking tomorrow, but TBH I'll know very quickly if this is working. Can't see why it wouldn't. --Diet for today-- 13:00 (woke very late) 50g oats 5 whites, 1 yolk 16:00 180g chicken 18:30 50g oats 5 whites, 1 yolk 19:45 Trained shoulders and biceps 21:20 45 minute jog around the neighbourhood 22:30 150g turkey w/ salad 2 oatibix (made into slightly weird, but rather tasty oatibix porridge (ran out of oats and couldn't be ar5ed to make rice) Going out, so 01:00 will be protein shake and 03:15 will be cottage cheese Had a very pleasant conversation with a guy who worked at the gym today. He asked where I was from and what I was studying, and we had a long and very interesting conversation about psychology. We also talked about the guy who owns our gym winning Mr Universe and getting caught selling steroids from the gym by an undercover reporter. After that I went for me jog. I feel slimmer already

Didn't end up going out last night, so my 00:00 meal was a tub of cottage cheese with a tub of cottage cheese with a few almonds 02:00 was 150g turkey salad w/ a few almonds The tub of cottage cheese was almost two days old, but I really wanted it. Texture was a bit weird, taste was a bit bitter and I felt funny afterwards. Wish I didn't eat it. Later on I found that I had an in-date tub in the fridge, much to my dismay Have run out of oats, so had to have oatibix with milk and my eggs for breakfast. Once I've got my oats back I'm looking to eliminate milk from my diet as I have no need for liquid calories. Job interview for Ernest Jones in an hour. Wish me luck! ---Diet today--- 11:00 2 oatibix w/ milk 6 whites, 1 yolk

Feel quite weak today. After looking at cals consumed yesterday I only took in around 1800. That's not good!! I'll be counting them properly now. Breakfast today was around 375 Protein shake was around 180 - Should have probably had some fats with that. I'll take some nuts out with me as well next time. Shouldn't feel so lightheaded 3 days into a cut, so I'll make sure I take in around 2300 today.

ELlo mate. Just had a skim through. How many cals are you taking in a day, I saw 1460 on one of the days... not sure if that is for the whole day though? I agree with Tony, even though I was so anal with UD2 but I was trying to get from 12ish to 8ish. I found that I was way too tired when lifting with such low cals even with the huge re-feeds. It worked at getting to me to 8ish% but I'm stopping it now. I think I'll just keep the carbs at an ok level so that I don't always feel tired but stop eating them after 6ish and add more cardio. Breifly, what is your cutting plan?
Age - 18 Bench - 95kg (at 62kg) Deadlift - 120kg (at 62kg) Squat - 100kgx5 (at 62kg) Front Squat - 92.5kg (at 62kg)

Jack No that figure wasn't for a full day. I'm aiming for between 2000 and 2500, but didn't count them up yesterday and they turned out at around 1900. Gonna make sure all of my meals are between 300 and 400 cals each; 3 protein and fat meals and 3 protein and carb meals. My plan is to strip off 1 or 2 pounds a week for 12 weeks Mick Believe me there's nothing I'd like more, but I'm very unhappy with my body shape atm. I have a very fat back and big ol' love handles when I'm wearing trousers and I really don't feel like a bodybuilder TBH. I just want a leaner base to build upon. I've gained some mass and gone from 8st7 to what you see now (13st7 this morning). Just want to lean out and bulk more sensibly --diet-- 11:00 2 oatibix w/ milk 6 whites, 1 yolk - around 375 total cals 14:30 Protein shake - around 150 cals (should have had some fats with this; will do in future) 16:15 75g oats 180g turkey Salad - around 470 cals - around 1000cals so far. Need to split 1300 between 3 more meals, though I may have 7 depending on what time I go to sleep Going to train legs in a minute. Then will do 45 mins cardio afterwards.

Just been to the gym. A bit annoyed actually. I've befriended some of the guys who work there (one in particular) and talk to them a bit before or after I've finished training. However, now that I'm cutting I need to do my cardio PWO so can't hang around and talk. Today I stopped to talk, but ended up staying for an hour. I was absolutely starving, so had to skip the cardio today. Really pi55ed off about that. I like talking to the guy, but I'll have to just politely say that I have to go and do my cardio. Been talking to a competing bodybuilder today and he said that he does speed-walking, so I'll probably start doing that instead of jogging as my knee is starting to hurt. I hate cardio and like to get it out of the way, so I'll just have to make my excuses and leave straight away. It sucks as I actually like talking to the people there. Anyway, I just had 75g oats and a tub off cottage cheese for my PWO. That takes my cals to about 1540. Still annoyed about the cardio, but I might just do more tomorrow. I was also advised to have 1/2 a protein shake before I do my cardio, so I might start doing that. I know all the theory behind not doing this, but the guy I spoke to was a competing natural and if he can get to ~4% by doing that then it obviously works. Hate having huge gaps between workouts and meals as I feel so hungry. Of course I usually have my PWO shake, but I've stopped doing that temporarily. No way I can do the cardio I've missed today, but I'll just have to make sure it doesn't happen again. Can't do AM cardio, so PWO is my only option.

Just thought f*ck it and had my other two meals together. 6 whites, 1 yolk, 20g almonds - 345 1 tub quark, 40g PB - 410 Total = 2300 All this talk of timings not matter and me being really hungry and pi55ed off made me think fcuk it! When trying to lose fat I get very temperamental and the slightest thing which doesn't go to plan will set me off. Tomorrow I will go to the gym, train, say my goodbyes and go and do my cardio. Can't stay around and talk if I want to get anywhere at this: must be committed! If I went to a gym with better cardio facilities I'd stay there and do it, but if the weather's nice it'll be 60 mins speed walking PWO. I know it's not a big deal to most people, but when it's so hard to lose fat, the slightest thing that doesn't go to plan will set me off. Luckily I didn't binge or anything, but in order to succeed at this I must make sure that I just do my cardio when I'm supposed to do my cardio and eat when I'm supposed to eat. If anything goes wrong I'm fcuked

Well done with the ED too, I drove myself mad with them last year and still have the odd battle every now and then. Hope you keep it under control

ORIGINAL: RACK Well done with the ED too, I drove myself mad with them last year and still have the odd battle every now and then. Hope you keep it under control Thanks a lot mate. It is a b1tch and did get quite serious. Everything in my life is good now though, so if any symptoms begin to resurface I'll have to pull the plug. Saying that though, it's unlikely that that will happen. However, judging by yesterday I am still very temperamental when anything doesn't go to plan, so I will have to overcome this and see things more in terms of their monthly progression than their weekly progression
