I'm down a stone so far, only started 6 days ago. I've had two kfc pannini's (very nice btw) today and I'm about to go down the chippy. I shall continue the diet tomorrow! lol

Cardifflad Ankle playing up today. Did 10 mins cross trainer but had to stop. Back down the gym tomorrow to try out some rowing and cycling, take the weight off the ankle. Getting the excuses in early then I'd hope you make it through to the end of at least one Shape-Up!!!

DC77 Thats a lot of cardio! You do more in a day than I've been doing in a week. Do you really need that much cardio? I have started pretty conservative with 3 x 30 min sessions which I will increase by number and duration as time goes on. Do you get better results from increasing cardio and keeping calories that bit higher. Due to work and familiy constraints, Im going to have to cut calories more than I like really as cardio time is limited to 3-4 sessions a week. Do you think 20 mins after a weight session is worthwhile? Well like i said its 90 mins walking which i include in my total cardio time. I get results by battering cardio and keeping cals low and having a refeed. Any cardio time is worthwhile, if you get a chance, do it!

theiopener, what sort of pace do you walk at as I walk quite a bit each day but to be honest never really considered it as cardio just a bit of gentle exercise, which I know being exercise would imply cardio but I've always seen cardio as making me sweat and being a bit or a lot out of breath

Sorry for being incredibly vague. thats alright just wondered, as my cardio has stopped at present due to injury, I've ordered an exercise bike which comes next week, so walking is all I can do at present so was just wondering how much it would be doing regards helping with losing weight

Same, does it not annoy you walking through city centers? I know it does my head in IN Bas town centre its not a problem as i just weave in and out of the crowds as there is lots of pavement space. Dont go into Primark though on a weekend, thats asking for you to be trampled on. London rush hour is the worst though, can people just put down their papers, phones etc and just get on the train, get off and get out. Its claustrophobic enough down there

serious question how much benefit would regular walking (with the dog) be to me on top of my cardio sessions after weight training?

Its claustrophobic enough down there fcuk but I hate primark! and my GF insists on going into it every time we walk passed! Then I get stressed out cos people keep bumping into me and she gets angry cos i get angry! If I go and sit outside on or on one of the benches I get nagged for not staying with her etc cant win
