Something you just cant get rid of. 27 January 2012 21:24 (permalink)
I've got 2 feather pillows what i've had since i was a young lad. I've always slept with them, they are basically falling apart they are so old, they are inside 3 pillowcases which stop feathers going every where. My mrs keeps on telling me they have to go, and shes gonna bin them when im at work. And how unhygienic they are to have around but i really dont wanna get rid of them lol.

Is there anything you have, which you just cant bring yourself to get rid of?

I have a few T-shirts and shirts that don't fit or are worn out or just dated but I can't get rid of them because they have memories of happy times attached to them lol

New fabric and you could make new ones out of the old feathers.

Put them in the chest freezer, the way you do with old Teddy bears, it kills the bugs, you can then get the Hoover on them.

You could also try the dry cleaners too.

I have the exact same issue with my pillow and my wife lol.

My grandparents gave it to me as a christening present in march 1984!! I brought it with to the uk when i emigrated and if I know I'm not sleeping at home I take it with me!!

Ill try and recase them when i get some spare time. Im sure my mrs will give me a hand lol

Animal - im the same the only time i dont sleep with them is when i go abroad, we went away for 5 days last year to Newquay i took em with me. Iv moved house, 3 times and always made sure i know where my pillows are. The same sort of worrying you do over something expensive lol
