Just back from gym having trained chest. Went as follows: -

Seated Nautilus Press          1 x   80kg x 12 (warm up)
                                             1 x 120kg x  7
                                             1 x 125kg x  6
                                             1 x 130kg x  5

Incline BB Bench                    1 x  80kg x 8
                                              1 x 100kg x 3
                                              1 x   85kg x 7
                                              1 x   90kg x 6

Really struggled with the 100kg and so dropped the weight. Techique still not the best and am struggling mentally with lowering the weight - unbelievably slow in lowering it a few inches - seems like its in slow motion!!

Pec Dec Flyes                         1 x 65kg x 12
                                              1 x 85kg x 10
                                              1 x 85kg x 10

Incline DB flyes                       1 x 25kg x 12
                                               1 x 25kg x 10

End of session as gym about to close

Pleased with the increase in strength on the Nautilus but still a mental challenge with barbell pressing of any type

Jumped on the scales to find I am a svelte () 19 stone 6 pounds!!

Surprised at this as I have done more cardio than previous weeks and personally feel I have dropped some fat. As I have said already though, I am not gonna get obsessed with the scales at this point and will put pics up at the end of the cycle.
I can't recall what forum it was but I threw one little c.unt into a sentence and you'd have thought I'd bummed one of their grandmas

Woke up this morning feeling sick so skipped breakfast and couldnt face food until lunchtime. Still not great after work but trained with a mate and started on back. However, after 2 sets I was burning up and felt like sh1te so switched to biceps and went as follows: -

    Nautilus curls              1 x 60kg x 12
                                       1 x 80kg x 11
                                       1 x 80kg x 12
                                       1 x 80kg x 10

    Seated alternate        1 x 35kg x 12
    DB curls                      1 x 35kg x 11
                                       1 x 35kg x 11

    Standing cable curls   1 x 40kg x 15
                                       1 x 40kg x 15
                                       1 x 40kg x 15

Not the greatest session but better than nothing. Started to feel ok by the end and was persuaded by my mate into going for an Indian. He has lost his mum recently and didnt want to let him down so I felt obliged to "take one for the team" and stuffed my face!!!!

In fairness, I avoided poppadums and stuck to chicken & lamb without sauces (tikka starter and sashlick main) and had hardly any rice. I did have half a keema nan though

No cardio so far this week but will put that right during the rest of the week.

Hi mate, may i start in saying your massive 19 stone 6!!

iv learned by reading your log that some training is better then none and that if you have thing that get in the way of training or diet, sh1t happens because you can try and make up for it in the rest of the week.

great journal mate, better them mine anyway () keep it update because i personally find it very informative and inspirational.

Hi mate, really pleased to hear that my journal is of some use to someone  and if you are finding it helpful in any way then that makes it all the more worthwhile. I think you should remember that you are at the start of your journey and have many years training ahead of you long before you get anywhere near my age .  If you apply yourself consistently over time and get your training and diet sorted you will make gains far beyond what you may imagine at the moment. You have access to a wealth of information and assistance on MT so make the most of it. Didn't even have the internet when I started training mate

        Keep at it!!

No training yesterday as I had my daughter for the evening and no cardio either

Went to gym tonight and trained shoulders as follows: -

          Seated Smith Machine            1 x 20kg x 15
          Press behind neck                  1 x 40kg x 15
                                                         1 x 50kg x 12
                                                         1 x 55kg x  9

Just noticed tonight that I have not included the weight of the bar in all my smith machine exercises up to this point. At a guess the bar is, I reckon, between 10 & 15kg so in future I will add that to the weight on the bar.

          Nautilus Front Shoulder Press    1 x 70kg x 12
                                                             1 x 90kg x 12
                                                             1 x 110kg x 11
                                                             1 x 120kg x 10

          Seated side lateral machine        1 x 50kg x 12
                                                              1 x 50kg x 12
                                                              1 x 55kg x 10

Have had a little bit of a dodgy stomach the last day or 2 so have eaten less than normal and certainly less protein. Have not therefore increased dose of H-Roid or T-Roid as intended and will review this over the weekend. Did jump on scales at gym tonight and weight still around 19.5 stone mark so little change there

Yesterday found me still not quite right. Was absolutely shattered by the time I got home from work and duly fell asleep on the couch, being woken up every 10 mins or so via a bollocking off the girlfriend for snoring

Eventually stirred myself long enough to make a coffee which in turn kept me awake long enough to decide on going for a walk. Proceeded to do my usual circuit which took me about 45 mins all in all. Managed to walk pretty briskly (for me) throughout and got up a bit of a sweat.

On the food front I am still struggling and for third day in a row couldnt face any food first thing. Not sure whay I am like this at the moment but it is a real struggle at the moment to get enough protein in. Still not upped the H-Roid/T-Roid and in fact only took 50mg/60mg of each two of the last 3 days. Hoping this will pass very soon

              Still tired today but managed to get my arse to the gym for a triceps session;

              Seated Nautilus Dips            1 x   80kg x 15
                                                           1 x 160kg x 12
                                                           1 x 180kg x 12
                                                           1 x 190kg x 11

              V Bar Pushdowns                  1 x 75kg x 15
                                                           1 x 95kg x 12
                                                            1 x 95kg x 12

              Rope extensions                    1 x 75kg x 12
                                                            1 x 80kg 10
                                                            1 x 85g x 10

              Kickback machine
              (Full Stack)                             4 x 75kg x 12/12/14

Strength definitely still there and a better session than I expected as I had eaten little all day before training.

Haven't trained or done any cardio for last 3 days and have still been having minor problems with stomach so diet has gone down the sh1tter recently (quite literally!! ) Felt better this morning though and went for a briskish 30 minute walk at lunchtime.

Have eaten more today too so hopefully should be back to normal from now on. Trained chest tonight: -

                Barbell bench press        1    x     60kg x 15 (warm up)
                                                       1    x     80kg x 12
                                                       1    x     90kg x 10

Emphasis was on form rather than weight and was a lot happier with the basic technique so hopefully should be able to up the weight significantly over the next few weeks

                Pec dec flyes                   1    x     85kg x 12, 12, 12

                Nautilus Incline Press     1    x     70kg x 15
                                                       1    x    100kg x 12
                                                       1    x    110kg x 10
                                                       1    x    120kg x  6

                Incline Cable flyes           1   x    15kg per side x 12
                 (standing)                      1   x     17.5kg x 10
                                                       1   x     17.5kg x 10

Left the gym with a decent pump in my chest and just happy to be back in the gym and going home knowing that for the first time in over a week what I eat wouldnt put me on the toilet within an hour

So far no sides that I am aware of unless I counted my recent stomach/(in)digestion issues which I cannot really pin on the h=roid or t-roid so no, no visible sides. In terms of benefit yes there has been a definite strength increase and a visible improvement in my physique so definitely seeing results on a dose that I would consider to be modest for someone of my weight. I chose h-roid because I read a review of it by Meat 05 who had decent results from it and, knowing Meat, he would definitely tell it like it is.

Lack of updates due to lack of training   Not trained for last week for a variety of reasons although I have managed 3 cardio sessions. Still not feeling 100 % and am seriously thinking of ending the cycle early. Was all fired up to train tonight and got a fukin flat tyre on way home so sat here without wheels until tomorrow.

Will make a definite decision tomorrow.

Have decided to end the cycle early due mainly to recent lack of training and the fact that it is my birthday on 12th; I have had a lot of stress recebntly, mainly due to issues arising with my ex, and I think this has been the cause of me not being 100%. I have also had very little time off work this year and due to unforseen circumstances of a colleague did not get the 2/3 weeks off I wanted during the summer. I have not actually had a full week off this year and it has been getting to me more and more as I just need some chill out time, However, I have now secured the week commencing 12th October off and amn really looking forward to it. I am gonna have a few beers go out etc and thus I thought I should stop and did so the day before yesterday. I have started my PCT which consists of I-Force Reversitol as well as some Mass FX tabs I have in the cupboard. I am also as of tonight starting creatine mono and have just taken my first dose prior to heading for the gym shortly. Wenrt for 25min walk at lunchtime so am still doing some form of cardio and am leaner than I was 5 weeks ago. Will post up pics in a couple of weeks and will weigh myself at gym tonight.

Will update further later this evening

Just back from gym now and trained chest: -

                          Nautilus Bench Press    1 x   90kg x 14
                                                               1 x 120kg x 11
                                                               1 x 140kg x  9
                                                               1 x 150kg x  6

New PB on this so well pleased. Maybe the rest has done me good?

                          Incline barbell press     1 x 80kg x 8
                                                               1 x 60kg x 12
                                                               1 x 70kg x 8

Felt my right delt during first set so reduced the weight for following sets

                          Pec dec flyes                1 x 50kg x 14
                                                              1 x 70kg x 12
                                                              1 x 75kg x 11

                          Cable standing flyes    1 x 12.5kg x 14
                                                              1 x 15kg x 12

                          Supersets                    1 x 50kg incline smith bench x 9, 8
                           Cable standing flyes   1 x 15kg x 8, 6

End of session. Jumped on scales and weighed in at 19stone 11 pounds so the cut has gone really well  .  Saw a bloke in the gym I hadnt seen for about 3/4 months and he said immediately that I looked bigger so I guess my cutting expertise needs a bit of a rethink!!

Am not gonna dwell on it too much though as I think I am in better shape than when I started so I will re-evaluate in about 3 weeks or so once my PCT has ended.

Felt much better for training and looking forward to next few sessions. Would be delighted to keep somewhere near where I am now and take it forward from there but we shall see

                            Trained shoulders tonight

                            Seated Press Behind Neck        1 x 45kg x 15 warm up
                                                                             1 x 75kg x 12
                                                                             1 x 95kg x 10

                            Standing cable raises                1 x 25kg x 12
                                                                              1 x 35kg x 12
                                                                              1 x 40kg x 10

                            Seated Nautilus Front Press      1 x 60kg x 15
                                                                              1 x 80kg x 14
                                                                              1 x 110kg x 12

At this point I really felt my old left forearm injury flaring up so didnt do any further shoulder work. I decided to do some triceps machine kickbacks and proceeded to do 3 sets of 12 reps; it was a bad idea and failed to take my mind off my forearm injury so I duly quit and drove home in pain.  As I type this my left forearm has settled down a little but is still rather painful and I just hope it settles down overnight. I will definitely be taking a day off training tomorrow and see how it is on Sunday.

Hi mate. Yes I think so too; felt I had lost momentum by not training and wasn't sure what I would get out of an extra 7 days, Having said that definitely was stronger on chest the other night but I want to enjoy my birthday this year and I know my girlfriend has got something planned so I want to concentrate on that and be a couple of weeks into my pct by then.

I will definitely put some pics up in a week or two.

Just to update yesterday; forearm was much improved and am going to the gym this afternoon for sure but will be training lighter to start with, to test the water.

No weights yesterday but did go for 2 walks into town both of about 30 mins in total so am at least continuing some sort of cardio activity.

PCT seems to be going ok so far and one or two signs that libido is undergoing a (small) boost which I was expecting from the ATD/Mass FX combo.

Scrap the last entry - didnt go to the gym in the end. Was one of the lucky ones who got a 20% discount offer off Myprotein and duly stocked up   However, when pulling apart the cardboard, which was heavily taped, I felt my left forearm go again so took the decision not to train

Didn't train yesterday either but bit the bullet tonight and decided to train chest: -

                                    Barbell Bench Press        1 x 70kg x 12
                                                                           1 x 90kg x 10
                                                                           1 x 100kg x 8

At this point I felt my forearm flare up again - really p1ssing me off now .  Decided to drop the weight and increase the reps to try to get around it. Went like this: -

                                    Pec dec flyes                  1 x 50kg x 15
                                                                          1 x 70kg x 15
                                                                          1 x 75kg x 12

                                    Incline barbell press      1 x 60kg x 12
                                                                          1 x 90kg x  8

Felt forearm quite badly at this point and decided to do a high rep giant set* which went as follows: -

                                    Incline smith bench       3 x 50kg x 12, 15, 16

                                    Cable flyes                    3 x 10kg (per side) x 12, 15, 16

                                    Pec dec machine           3 x 45kg x 12, 15, 16

                                    * 3 exercises in succession without rest and 1 min rest between sets.

Diet, truthfully, has been pretty good with the exception of a bit of chocolate on a couple of occasions. Calories higher as are carbs. Jumped on scales at gym tonight and weighed in at 19 stone 12 have put a pound on during first week of PCT

Haven't trained tonight as I have my daughter for the night. Did go for 25 min walk at lunchtime which is better than nothing I suppose.

Diet not as good today as I have had a takeaway pizza for the first time in several weeks. It was basically chicken, peppers, onions and sweetcorn though so there was one eye on the nutritional value of it (just!!)

                                      Very nice it was too

Am off work all of next week and the girlfriend has organised a 3 day break in Ireland so looking forward to that. Hotel has a gym apparently too

End of session. Strength still higher than it was 6 weeks ago and just hoping I can keep most of it.

PCT seems to be going fine so far although only on day 8 at the moment.

Forearm sore at the end of the session but not as bad as it has been previously so am sure it is just a matter of time before fortune farts in my face

Its good to be positive eh
