Last session before Candito, so just a bit of everything.
  • Military press: Bar x 10, 5; 50 x 2; 60 x 2; 70 x 2; 80 x 2; 90 x 1; 100 x 0; 90 x 2
  • Squats: 60 x 10; 90 x 2; 100 x 2; 120 x 2; 130 x 2; 140 x 2; 150 x 2; 160 x 1; 170 x 1; 180 x 1
  • Paused bench: 60 x 5; 90 x 2; 110 x 2; 130 x 2; 140 x 1; 110 x 12
  • Wide grip pulls: BW x 12, 10, 8
  • Rotator cuffs
Squats were looking great up to 170, and feeling great. 180 was horrible, knee popped in. Hopefully just a bad rep. I think I'm ready for Candtio cycle again, though.

Squat: 200
Paused bench: 160
Deads: 260
 
I hit all these a couple a weeks ago, except my ass came off the bench, but going with it anyway.
 
Monday 22nd September 2014
Bilbo and Frodo's birthday. I'm not a nerd, honest.

Week One, Day One: Lower body, 80%
Squats 
All squats will be low bar, belted for working sets and Oly shoes.
  • Warm-up: Bar x 10, 60 x 5, 5, 5; 100 x 2, 2; 120 x 1; 140 x 1
  • Working sets: 160 x 6, 6, 6, 6
 
Deadlifts (beltless, with straps)
  • Warm-Up: 100 x 3, 2; 150 x 2; 180 x 1
  • Working sets: 207.5 x 6, 6
Rotator cuffs
3 sets of lady hip machine
 
This was very tough, and form was not great for all reps, though felt good for some. Struggled with the volume as I'm just not used to it (first set of squats was very easy). I see how it all works now. Didn't feel up to adding the extra movements in, mainly because the machines are terrible in Pure Gym, with not many options. Probably worth me going to the other gym for legs, and the thinner bar makes squatting a lot easier.
 
Glad to have got the ball rolling. Was dreading today for a couple of weeks, and it was as hard as I imagined.
