  • Squats: 60 x 10; 100 x 5; 120 x 2; 140 x 2; 160 x 1; 170 x 1
  • Belt on: 180 x 1; 190 x 3 (PB), 2; 180 x 3; 170 x 6, 5
  • Quad extensions: 5 x 10-15 reps
  • Deadlifts: 60 x 5; 100 x 5; 140 x 2, 2; 170 x 1, 1; 190 x 1; 210 x 1; 230 x 3
  • Lying hammy curls: 5 x 8-10 reps
  • Standing hammy curls: 3 x 8 reps
I'll take that. 190 for a triple was the target, and secretly hoped for 3 x 3, but bottled the 3rd rep on set 2. Couple of weeks and I'll get this, I reckon. KNee feels great. Kneesleeves giving me confidence and I'm descending faster.  However, form still feels a little off, which is a great sign! Need to get a bit tighter. Deads were hard work and a triple at 230 is very pleasing. Ugly, ugly reps mind as my back was pretty tired from the squats.

Bench tomorrow, and I'll be trying the cheating sinking the bar into the chest.
 


Very nice 190 triple dude. Was there anymore there and you were saving yourself for the 3x3 attempt? Sleeves making things feel better then?

SQUAT -  185kg - AIM 220KG

Nah, there wasn't another one there. I don't think 3 x 3 is far away, which I think is worth a 210, although I'll be doubling the 200 before I try it.

Coming down after last night. Worst bench session in months. Haven't eaten much since the squat session and it told.. now got beers to drink. Not a good combo

  • Paused bench: Bar x 10, 5; 60 x 10 (the idea of sinking the bar into the chest was abandoned here); 90 x 3; 110 x 3; 120 x3; 130 x 3; 140 x 1 (no spotter, so didn't risk another); 125 x 5, 5; 120 x 4
  • Incline bench: Fives: 60, 70, 80, 90, 100
  • Yuck

nowt in the house, and just got caught up with some work. Shake post workout, a cheese sandwich (last two rounds of bread), and another shake before the workout. Ox has probably had more calories on his fast!
