imo if rogers cardio had been better i think he would have won

at the start off the second round he looked a bit gassed and dropped his hands down a bit

fair play to fedor for the win

i think lesnar is the man for the job, cardio machine and likes to press the action

Joe Rogan giving a good assessment of Fedor.

I still don't really see why people (not necessarily on here) are so quick to crown Lesnar the number one.
He hit Herring with the best shot he's ever thown and Herring got back up immediately and didn't even seem to be in any trouble. He beat Herring by basically lying on him for the entire fight.  He beat an old Couture who'd been knocked silly by Chuck, twice, he lost to Mir (easily the most overated HW on the planet who was nowhere till he fought a completely inexperienced Lesnar and, by all accounts, an ill Nog) and then beat him - as had the likes of Ian Freeman and Marcio Cruz.  Hardly the record of someone who according to some is No 1 HW in the world.
Lesnar's physique is as impressive as Fedor's is unimpressive, and I'm sure this is why some have jumped on the bandwagon.  If you saw them both in the street, never in a million years would anyone pick Fedor to win (though there's a good argument some bodyfat and strong but not large muscles are what heavyweights should should aim for).  But honestly, Lesnar's fought no-one yet.  I was looking forward to the Carwin fight because his chin might have been tested against someone equally as strong, almost as good a wrestler, if records are to be believed, and who probably hits a lot harder. I have my doubts about Carwin's stamina, though he's yet to be tested, but again guys with physiques like Carwin's rarely manage to last five or even three rounds MMA.
Certainly Fedor's paper thin skin makes him extremely vulnerable, but then it always has, and of course he's beatable - I wonder how good his cardio is when he hasn't gone past two rounds in years, and with those small gloves you don't have to be a murderous puncher to get a KO over anyone. Plus he's a rookie to the cage. But then Fedor has spent his career fighting bigger, stronger guys so none of the UFC giants are going to worry him too much.
The problem at the moment is the UFC HWs, other than Nog, are all pretty much untested against real quality.  Certainly Velasquez, dos Santos, Carwin and Lesnar, not to mention other up and comers all have huge potential, but fact is they're all going to meet and there's a very good chance that one or two will be found out to be not quite as good as we thought.

Herring^ also went flying across the ring doing an involuntary backward roll when Lesnar connected.

I thought Fedor looked as sharp as ever. No doubt about it Rogers is a dangerous striker, yet raining down some hard looking shots Fedor barely looked fazed.

Rogers great natural strength stopped it being a very early Kimora submission, like most normal sized heavyeights would have succumbed to.

I can't see any heavyweights out there beating Fedor for some time yet. I think this fight played out very similarly to how a Fedor vs Lesnar fight would go and I'm a big Lesnar fan.

i dont think lesnar would be so happy to stay on the feet tho!
it may well end in the same fashion, but im sure we would see plenty of takedown attempts from lesnar.. that would be his only chance imo, but fedor's ground game is class too..
