Lol i wouldnt advise that! Your liver still has to break it down, no painkillers can be taken like sweets unless you want a slow and painful death.

Best thing you can do is get paracetamol which is mixed with a high dose of codeine, you can take ibuprofen 2 hours afterwards as they are different, and you wont be overloading your liver. Its the method i use when im in serious pain and need to get on with my day.

You can also get ibuprofen which is mixed with codeine and then take paracetamol a couple of hours later, works both ways. Ask at your chemist.

Depends on what sort of pain you have mate?

Co-Codamol are 10mg codeine and 500mg paracetemol. This is the strongest you can get over the counter. I get prescribed a 30/500 pain killer from the GP to sort my back out - 2 of those and you are flying lol

You can take these with Cuprafen Max - these are 400mg of Ibruprofen, these will tackle inflammation for muscle or joint soreness, you can take them with the above.

Basically i have a slightly bruised foot but causes me pain when i run and i need to be able to run this weekend and not be hampered.

Not the best situation i know but there's nothing i can really do, hence wanting/needing a strong painkiller.

for bruises, you can take apply Arnica cream (vits and herbal area) which helps bruises, although I don't know how long it will take to heal your, seeing that you need it treated by the week-end.

you can get it from boots, it's made by Nelsons, and their is also a Boots own brand version.

you can take dihydrocodeine with paracetamol, then apply some Ibuprofen based gel like Ibuleve (extra strength if you want, it should be the 10% gel instead of the usual 5%) or you can try Voltarol gel.

edit> Voltarol is a Diclofenac based gel, so it is slightly different to Ibuleve, but still an anti-inflammatory (which I don't think a bruise is anyway lol)
