I'm gonna have a crack at the 3 miles soon. I've got access to Cardiff Athletics track (400 metres). I take it this would be 12 laps??

I still can't get below 19 mins atm..not that I'm training for it tbh. I think I'm just a tad too heavy


I ran 17:13 for 5k (3.1ish miles) about 3 years ago - haven't done one since - and don't intend too

I'm now around 2 stone heavier than back then

Yes mate.....can get boring going round and round but it's nice to run on, kinder than the roads.

An athletics track is especially handy as the streets round by me are lined with prostitutes in the evenings. However, on a side note, this could be useful for future HIIT sessions i.e. jog to one prossy, sprint to the next etc etc
