No training today but it's 18 months of abstinence from alcohol so that's worth making a note of.

            Tonights training

            Deads
            10 x bar only
            10 x 60 kg
            10 x 100 kg
            3 x 140 kg
            1 x 160 kg

            DB Rows
            5 x 5 50 lb

            Pulldowns
            5 x 5 17 plates

            DB Curls
            5 x 5 55 lb

Lots of stretching and a good warm up for the deads, uncomfortable and almost painful but ok. All reps done with a pause, not bounced.

Hows the hammy holding out? Looks not to bad. Keep getting the blood in there (in a light and easy way!) and stretch next week. Then plenty of painkillers and ibuprofen prior to lift off next weekend lolol

It's getting better slowly mate, like you say plenty Ibuprofen before the comp next weekend. I think after the comp I'll be looking for a physio.

Good shout. Always worth seeing a physio or sports therapist about these things before they get on top of you.

Did you say you had some vids of me at the British Nationals? :)

                          Sunday update

I've intentionally put on a couple of pounds after weighing in at the last comp at 88.1 kg.
Weighed in this morning at 90.5 kg but that's after a big Chinese meal last night with plenty of sweet stuff after.
Next comp is the North Midlands Open 1 week from today, I'll do a session on Monday practicing my openers then rest until Sunday as I did for the last comp.

                                    Thanks very much gentlemen.
All ready to go, injury is no better or worse, weight is about 89 kg.
I'm planning openers of 160/110/200 but I'll be happy to walk away with a total.
