Well done on the weight lost so far mate.

Cheers Malc

I'm averaging a pound a day lost but fully expect it to slow down this next week.
I'm quite sure most of it so far is water with a little fat and possibly some muscle too.

Tonights workout

Incline BBBP 1 x 12 bar only, 1 x 8 60 kg, 1 x 6 90 kg, 1 x 4 100 kg, 1 x 3 100 kg, 1 x 4 90 kg, 1 x 8 80 kg
Flat BBBP 1 x 3 110 kg, 1 x 7 100 kg, 1 x 2 110 kg, 1 x 6 100 kg
Decline BP (Smith Machine) 1 x 8 bar only, 1 x 8 40 kg, 1 x 8 60 kg, 2 x 8 80 kg, 1 x 7 80 kg
Cable x-over 1 x 12 10 kg, 1 x 12 12.5 kg, 1 x 12 15 kg

DB Curls 1 x 12 4 kg, 1 x 8 12 kg, 1 x 8 14 kg, 1 x 8 16 kg, 2 x 8 20 kg
Hammer Rope Curls 1 x 8 20 kg, 1 x 8 25 kg, 1 x 8 30 kg, 1 x 8 35 kg, 1 x 6 + 2 40 kg (rest pause)

Couldn't get on flat bench so did incline bench first, not a bad incline session but totally messed up the flat bench.
Ended up stuck under the bar at 110 kg after only 2 reps
Couldn't get on dips so did decline bench press, never done it before, felt ok
Stuck in a few cable x-overs for variety to finish off chest
Good biceps workout for a change.

I must have looked like a right fcuking tit mate.
Luckily there was somone on hand to help out.
I had it in my head I could do what I normally do on flat even though I had a decent incline first, I was wrong.
Drink or lack of is good, can't put my finger on it but my workouts 'feel' better.

At least you are safe mate. Can be nasty injuries

RE: The 40 plus journal - 17 January 2008 18:38
Shoulders and triceps tonight.

Seated OH Press
DB Laterals
Bent Over DB Laterals

CGBP (Smith Machine)
Skullcrushers

I'm going to stop logging weights, reps and sets and only log anything worth noting as they are depressing whilst cutting.
I didn't expect to be as strong on low carbs but I didn't think it would be this bad.
Couldn't get 3 reps with 70 kg on Seated OH Press, was doing 5 before Christmas.

Still, 16 days without alcohol now, I'll settle for that.

Great feeling mate.
You keep it up, you wouldn't want to lose that bet.

My first really big test comes the week after next when I spend 3 days and nights in that London.

Thanks for stopping by mate.
I'm normally in London once a week but I haven't stayed over for a few years.
I'm looking for a gym around Aldgate/Liverpool St, JohnKerr has recommended one in Bethnal Green but I didn't know if there was one closer.

Yesterday's workout

Cardio and abs

15 mins x-trainer
15 mins rowing
15 mins stationary bike

4 x 30 ab runches
4 x 30 DB leg raises

This is pretty much the norm now Wednesdays and Saturdays

Today

Swimming - about 30 lengths, 25 metre pool

Weighed in this morning at 93.3 kg
That's 1.7 kg down from last Sunday and 7.5 kg down from New Year's Day
Weight loss will hopefully continue at approx. 1 kg per week and the plan is to be about 85 kg by the end of March
19 days dry not counting today.

No problem mate.
Couldn't have put it better myself to be honest.
Treated myself to a big bowl of ice-cream on Sunday afternoon and started to think about relaxing with a beer.
I didn't, but like you say, keep your guard up at all times.
