Powaaaaa lifting Thursday.
Felt all my good intentions and chutzpah drain away in the short walk frm car to changing rooms.
Luckily though, once we started warming up on squats it all came rushing back
...which is very unusual.
Squat
50-90-130 -working on absolutely buried for depth.
160 =PB (of sorts, no wraps not belt)
180 aargh all that work on depth gets forgotten and I go a bit high.

180 buried. PB
Bench
60 throwing it up to feel the powaaaa
80 chuck chuck chuck
100 boing
145 woaaaaahhhhh

fkkkkkinellllllll heavy =major fail
130 paused on chest for 1 full breath =PB
Deadlift
50-90-130-180
190 PB (of sorts, no belt)
210 major fail
So a bit of a mixed bag, or so I thought at the time. Although as I'm writing it up now I feel it was more good than bad. Felt good on the squats, my flexibility has improved leaps and bounds; I can now do one of those unsupported
squat onto your heels like a vietcong contemplating the Tet offensive type things. This has made me much more optimistic about making depth balanced and with less fuggering about, which in turn is quicker. So I just knew I was going to get the 180 but first attempt I just let a combo of things ruin it; not letting the wraps 'break' letting Ding call the depth when I knew it wasn't buried. That kind of thing. Glad I went back in and did it properly, trouble is I've only got a vid of the duff attempt. May have a bash 'no spotter' next week
Bench felt really strong right from the start mainly due to not making the same @rsehole of a job in terms of Monday's debacle. Just back to quite narrow grip straight down straight up (most of the time)a bit higher on the chest than true powerlifting style but it's what works for me. Having said that, the 145 felt fkkkin heavy, a bit worse than I'd expected. Given that, I think I did a good job of controlling it on the way down. Needed plenty of help on the return though. Bizarrely, still felt strong so gave 130 paused a go and surprised myself. Jackman put his fingers to the bar very briefly, he may have been slightly fooled by my idiosyncratic
up a bit down a bit -fire approach to difficult benching or he may have just wanted to soak up some of the raw powaaaaa

who knows. I do know (in my own mind) that it did not affect the lift so I am claiming it and I honestly don't usually if anyone's touched it.
Deadlifts I was less pleased with.
The 190 no belt felt good. The 210 did not. Not just because I didn't get it but more because I kinda quit the battle with it still on the floor. I suck at deads.
Need to try and get multiples at 200 before trying 200+ again.
