It did
...but in a good way.
Probably a bit like doing a whole load of clap press-ups after your chest workout.
Massive pump.

BW x 8

High Station Pulldown
120kg x 12/10/8 -may be ready for more weight

Narrow Grip Pulldown

Dumbbell Row

Seated Curl

First time I've struggled on the Oly curls for a while, which was a bit annoying, but the others seemed the same so I am putting it down to yesterday's deadlifting. Speaking of which, was pleased when Ding pointed out that it was > 2.5 times my bodyweight.
I'm small but I'm wiry

Bit better now after coffee and carbs.

That's weird exactly the same thing, how long have you had yours?
I'm losing the will to live as it's been a whole week now.
Chins were going okay although I started to panic that Jackman might start getting 'bright ideas' about adding more weight.
Fortunately, the fat b@stard broke the weight belt

Hmmm well, I am actually  suffering the same "Meh!" as everyone else at present and letting things slide a bit. I wanted to increase the cals true but I didn't want the increase to consist of 'pudding'.

You never know mate, the increase in your cravings might be down to the numbers you're laying down in the gym.  If you're conditioning isn't suffering then why worry about it, you're body will use the extra cals no problem

Ah yes but, that's just it the condition is starting to suffer.
A little bit of post-match cardio would probably see me right but I haven't been able to do any of that because of this damn cold. Just need to keep an eye on cr@ppy sugary cals and get back on the bike.
I'd really like to say I feel stronger for upping the intake but I honestly don't.

Shoulders
Standing Press
60kg x 10
60kg x 7 +1spotted
60kg x  5 +1spotted

Was allegedly taking this quite steady after last week's neck twang.
I still set to shake, rattle and rolling though, the whole body now being afflicted

Wide Grip Row
40kg x 12
50kg x 12/10
40kg x 15

Bent Over Fly
12kg x 12/12/10

Arnold Press/ V-Press
24kg/14kg
x12/12
x12/8 +4spotted
x8/8

Still total murder. Tried to respond to Jackman's bright idea of going for 12/12 on the second set and damn near destroyed myself. It is a fantastic exercise though. Jackman makes sterling efforts on it this week but then is kind of finished for the session as his head's not on straight. I don't mean he had a bad attitude, I mean it looks as though someone has pulled his head off and then jammed it back but not necessarily in exactly the right place. He is walking around with it canted over at 30degrees like a vicar inquiring after the health of his parishioners.

Some cable laterals and some heavy calf raise on the smith.
No abs so far this week.

Sounds like the cold is sapping your energy mate, give it a week or so to clear and I'm sure you'll be back at 100% with or without the treets.

Coldy-man-sniffles are, in my professional opinion THE most inconvenient, energy sapping, grouchy mood inducing illness known to womankind.

This is not to say I don't feel for you......I DO......

And sugar won't help much other than give you a massive downer later on and possibly send you to your Mr Jedi shaped bed for a lie down in a darkened room!

Hope you feel better soon, Mr Jedi!

Like I said, the weird thing is I don't feel that bad most of the time just suffer waves of grimness at regular intervals. Out and about today I have managed to add a sore throat to the repertoire. I must've seen the worst of it by now surely?
All the sugar seems to have done so far is make me feel like a complete blimp.
Bye bye abs.
Bye bye hard won condition.

Feck it, kill or cure on the powerlifting tonight.
I am aiming for PB attempts on squat and dead and some heavy negatives on the bench.
The phrase ''It'll all end in tears'' springs to mind.
Possibly with the pronunciation of the final word as tares rather than teers.
