Looking forward to training tomorrow morning, legs are still quite sore from the squats last week, but am hoping that calms down over the day.

God I need a really good blast

A very productive session this morning, really enjoyed it and decided last night that I'd attempt to beat my Deadlift PB.

    Deadlifts = 5 @ 90kgs
                       5 @ 100kgs
                       5 @ 110kgs
                       5 @ 110kgs
                       5 @ 110kgs

(Decided after finishing my sets that I'd have a go at a new PB, so stuck my previou best of 120kgs on the bar and completed a REP, and then went for 130kgs, first go I struggled to lift but stepped back re-focused and went for it, gave it my all and got it, I reckon If I concentrated on single gains for the session I could probably go a little heavier)

    Low Rows = 5 @ 70kgs
                          5 @ 77kgs
                          5 @ 84kgs
                          5 @ 81kgs
                          5 @ 91kgs

    BB Curls =      10 @ 30kgs
                            10 @ 30kgs
                            10 @ 30kgs
                            10 @ 30kgs

Attempted to do some cardio but my back was starting to tighten up after that session, & sacked it off, so will hopefully get it in tomorrow.

Very productive session this morning,  Walked in to find they had completely changed the gym around with all the iron gear and machines in the main hall, looks a lot better in my opinion.

        Deadlifts = 5 @ 90kgs
                           5 @ 100kgs
                           5 @ 100kgs
                           5 @ 110kgs
                           5 @ 110kgs

(Took the Deads a little easier this morning after over stretching it last week and suffering with a little pull in the lower back which stopped the rest of the weeks training)

        Low Rows = 5 @ 70kgs
                              5 @ 77kgs
                              5 @ 84kgs
                              5 @ 91kgs
                              5 @ 98kgs

        Lat Pulldown = 8 @ 63kgs
                                  8 @ 63kgs
                                  8 @ 70kgs
                                  8 @ 70kgs
                                  8 @ 70kgs

        Finished off with 16mins of HIIT on the treadmill, completed 2.25km doing splits of 1min @ 10kph & 45secs @ 6.5kph

        Looking forward to tomorrows already.

Congrats on the deadlift PB! I remember my first deadlift 1 rep max PB, it was 120kg, I was so happy with it. Then a few months later I pulled 140 for 1 which was immense, 3 plates a side is a great milestone - one which you will be getting in no time. In fact if you can pull 130 after 5 max effort working sets, then I'd say you could pull 140 now with a proper warmup to be honest!

CK - Going for that PB after 5 working sets was probably a little rash to be honest mate, but I had it in my mind to do it, done it and then suffered for it..lol, next time I'll hit it after a warm up and try for the 140, I'm determined to hit that golden 200kg Dead this year.

Pressing today : My weakest area by far.

                DB Bench Press = 8 @ 50kgs(25kgs DB's)
                                              8 @ 50kgs(25kgs DB's)
                                              8 @ 55kgs(27.5kgs DB's)
                                              9 @ 55kgs(27.5kgs DB's)

                BB Push Press =    5 @ 40kgs
                                               5 @ 45kgs
                                               5 @ 50kgs
                                               4 @ 55kgs
                                               6 @ 50kgs

(A new PB for the push press, seeing it was only an extra 5kgs I really felt it and had to drop down for the final set.)

                CG DB Bench Press = 10 @ 45kgs(22.5kgsDB'S)
                                                     9  @ 45kgs(22.5kgsDB'S)
                                                    10 @ 45kgs(22.5kgsDB'S)
                                                     7  @ 45kgs(22.5kgsDB'S)

Thought I'd include something extra at the end of PUSH days sessions to really fry the Tri's, so from today will do Weight Assisted Dips, and hopefully get to the stage where I don't need the help from the rack.

10 with 80kgs on the rack
10 with 75kgs on the rack
10 with 70kgs on the rack
9 with 65kgs on the rack - total failure on the last one

Finished the morning off with a 10min steep x-country burn on the x-trainer.

ghopki, still not sure about the photos mate, I was pretty horrendous at my biggest and am still very self conscious, I may have a trail run and see how they come out and see if the up to date one is worth the embarrasment..lol

Got a new Squat PB this morning which I'm chuffed about, & I think breaking the 100kg barrier is only a matter of a few weeks away

                            Squats = 5 X 70kgs
                                            5 X 80kgs(A new PB)
                                            5 X 80kgs

                            SLDL = 5 x 70kgs
                                         5 x 80kgs
                                         5 x 90kgs
                                         5 x 90kgs
                                         5 x 100kgs

                            Good Mornings = 10 x 50kgs
                                                         10 x 50kgs
                                                         10 x 55kgs
                                                         10 x 55kgs

That's it for the week, next Tuesday can't come quick enough.

                              Wow! Nice new PB!
Squats are my worse compound by far, so you WILL be over taking me within a few weeks!
Good work mate, keep it up!

And as for being self concious, dont bother mate. None of us on here are perfect. I was an obese child, so I find putting any pictures of me up hard. People here though wont point out you're negatives, only the positive

Cheers J mate, can feel the burn of the leg DOMS slowly creeping up..lol.

I used lagging to help with the bar on the neck and found that helped alot, funnily enough the second set was better than the first.

I'll have a look at the photos this weekend and see if I'm brave enough to stick them up. The one I wanted to put up was taken back in 2006 when I was at my heaviest ever probably just over 28stone we reckon, but it was on the lap top stolen in a burgalry.
