So i order some whey from iron science
I time my current whey protein supplementation to end today so i have a constant supply
i know my delivery for my new whey is today so i sit in my living room right next to where the door bell is.
Tv off doing abit of uni work.
 
Email from Ironscience - Im sorry but we tried to deliver but you were not in.
 
What the FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKK,
i go to the door to find a delivery note.......So do people at DPD not ring the doorbell or nock on the door anymore?

I've caught delivery drivers doing this several times to me before, they sit in the van and write out the sorry we missed you ticket then sneak up to the door and post it in, guess they just can't be bothered to knock and wait.

I always get a 1 hour time slot telling me when to expect them ,you can sign a form for them to leave it somewhere ,looks like its a KFC bargain bucket for you tonight then lol

I got my 1 hour slot so patiently waited downstairs, its almost like they sneaked up on the door, because im definately not deaf.
 
I went online and did the re-arange delivery.
' if no one is in please leave it in the grey box next to the door....but i can assure you someone will be in, like yesterday when i was 10 meters from the door and somehow missed the load noise my doorbell makes, so please ring the doorbell this time' lol
 
Im literally gna sit next to the window this time.
This is why i like to buy my whey from sup shops n pay the extra fiver.
 
Never had this trouble with royal mail
 
But TWICE!!!!! with DPD -  fuaakkking idiots seriosuly haha

Joking aside in the bigger scheme of things its not a big problem but I know what you mean they delivered to me today and I had a text to say my delivery time would be between 12.15-1.15pm, it was lucky that I was in anyway as it came at 11.45am.
 
Pretty much all of my deliveries are left with my elderly next door neighbour if I'm not in and she's great, so luckily I don't normally have the problem.

i Actually enjoy drinking shakes though nicer then a desert for me, but in the grand scheme of things probs isnt gna effect me.
 
But i worked my gym, revision, girlfriend ext....around that time slot
So bit pissed off !!!

No I can understand it, worse I guess if you have to go and pick it up. When/if they deliver again as soon as you see them you'll have to sprint outside before they drive off lol.

Yeah il probably say something tmorrow to the driver.

Ive sat and watched couriers write out "Sorry we missed you" notes and sneak up to my door LOL then I rip the door open and go "Alrite mate?" as he walks off... and he goes "Oh? Didnt know you was in"... I made such a fuss over it with "Well how would you know unless you fcuking knock on the door you fcuking backward mug?"... threatened to make complaints and all sorts. Think I fancied an argument.
 
Dont worry mate... just grab a £10.99 Bargin Bucket from KFC... you know it makes sense to get 8 pieces of original recipe chicken!

Is there anything in it for the driver to have to probably try a second time to make the delivery? Seems very odd to me, I mean, he has to come to the door to post the note, is he scared of people!?!?! Where poss I always try and select DPD, good as gold round my way.

Probably easier, put note in the door and walk off... take box back to the warehouse at the end of the night... and thats that. Tomorrow's courier can do it. Sounds silly.... or maybe its a "power" thing?

Anyway i got the email at 3.06, and the not said he came at 3.05
I went outside he was no where.

Except they didn't even leave a card. They clearly lied on their delivery on line status 'no one in, card was left'. I was in all day, and no card was left.

They have just done the same to me . i live in flats i have sat infront of the pc all morning only for a message to flash up "we have missed you" they didnt even ring the door bell!

E-Mail or pm me your order number and postal code for delivery so we can relay this experience to DPD.

Same happened with me and DPD, but with myprotein.
 
Annoying as hell considering I'm in another country, and the shipment will go back to the UK...

tell me about it, ordered from predator...........£15 delivery charge!!! guaranteed next day......oh wait no your north Scotland make that 2 days..........no 1 hour delivery window as promised!!! wait around then they finally call at 7pm...' eh,eh i can find your house!!!'

Yea, don't get why you would use DPD over royal mail... can't be bc of the cost?!

MY experience in my regular job having gone through UK Mail, TNT, DHL and now using DPD is you get good drivers and depots and bad in different areas and peoples experience is down to this - they are all of a muchness.
