Ok... Spent too much time messing about and regardless of whatever is wrong with me im going back to the gym next week. Im starting light and working up again and see what happens. Im also adding cardio to every workout so we'll see how it goes.

RE: Chasing 500kg. With size.... - 18 March 2008 21:53
Just been the gym, weighed myself for the first time in 5 weeks and i now weight 15-2...
5 weeks ago i was comfotably over 16 stone, 16-3 was my peak. I wouldnt mind if i felt any thinner round my waist but i dont. The pitfalls of not training or eating anything like someone who trains...

So i did:
30 mins on the bike
5 sets on bench
3 sets inc bench
3 sets trice cable pushdowns
3 sets skull crushers

All done steadily and not heavy in 12 reps+.
Roll on thursday now.

Afternoon off work, bored sh1tless so went the gym.
20 mins on bike.
15 mins on cross trainer (heart rate 130-160)
dumbell curls
standing cable curls
hammer curls
All at 3 x 8
Not really training for anything at the moment. Wanted to get well into cutting mode but cant get clen atm (that is not a hint....) so just training for enjoyment really.

Quick one tonight.
10 mins bike
15 mins cross trainer
flat bench, warm ups & 3 x 8 (smith machine as bench was chocker)
cable flies 3 x 8
tricep cable pushdowns (single handed) 5 x 8 e/a

Not really taking much notice of weights anymore as im not lifting heavy, actually enjoying the change tbh.

I can sometimes lose 5 or 6 lbs overnight, just from sweating and peeing.
though I am a particularly sweaty, peeey kind of bloke

In my defence it was early in the day, brekkie only and also post dump. Im expecting early 15's of a night time.
Oh and that was the day after a day after a monster session too so eating previously was none existent.

Next week im going for it and trying 9kg. Ive drank 8 pints of milk today so ill be full of protein you know what im saying bro?

In all seriousness i cant remember but its around the 80kg figure. Been benching feet up as it takes pressure off my injury so the triple figure days are a thing of the past for now.

werd blud, you's gonna be well hench soon.

hmm, benching sometimes hurts my back/groin too, tight hip flexors forcing me to overarch the lower back to get my feet on the ground.
what was the final, if any, conclusion as to your problem?

Ive not been back to the docs yet, sh1t scared of what the outcome may be...
I know thats a pu55ys way of doing things but im terrified of needing an operation, even though by not finding out im just prolonging the agony.

Went the docs again today, he has referred me to a specialist and i have a hospital appointment coming in the next few weeks.
Seems my worse fear have been confirmed.

Went the gym tonight out of boredom as i havent been for a while and did,
Seated shoulder press, dumbell curls and 15 mins on the bike.
I can do all of these pain free so i wont be doing much for the forseable future other than cardio and playing about.

Actually made it down tonight, cardio and a bit of tri work.
Weighed in @ 14, 10 which is sh1t as i feel fat. Losing muscle by the day but its down to a total lack of training and a diet of a fat kid!

Bike, 20 mins
X trainer, 13 mins
seated dumbell raise
Skull crushers
Single hand push downs
All weights @ 3 x 8.

Considering starting a proper diet next week, especially as my doctor told me to have a think about my drinking and lifestyle. I actually lied and didnt tell the truth about the drink aswell...

Dude, make sure you weigh yourself at the same time of the day each time and only do it once a month or so! Your weight will fluctuate!!!

I'm hoping I can compensate for my cr@p shoulder, the joint is sh@gged, think that's why the rotators got affected. In the back of my mind I reckon it'll need surgery. I'll give it a month, see how strong it feels and if I'm still nursing it slightly, I'll take the plunge. For now, I'll stick with the endorphin addiciton!!!

Im just weighing myself now and again really, im not following anything strict you see. Im very routine in meal times etc and always leave for the gym post dump so my weigh-ins should give a honest idea on my weight.
As you are mate, im now training for fun mainly until i get this hernia sorted out or atleast find out when and what the solutions may be. Im also gonna use the spare time not training to sort some general things out, mainly work and changing vehicles etc.

Have you found out what surgery is involved with your hernia?

My bro was a day patient, though he had to have about 6 weeks off, then a further three weeks of light duties only.

Im waiting for the post man to bring me my hospital appointment card to see a specialist so i wont know until then. Ive been researching the procedures myself and the minimum seems to be 2 weeks off work although people say you can be up and about in days. That doesnt bode well for me as im self employed and simply cannot take major time off, my business would be gone if i walked for 2 months. I may have to look into going private to get around this but that'll p1ss me off as thats why i pay National insurance and income tax...

Not about the money, the company quite simply cant operate without me (thats not me being big headed, its just the way it is), ive tried before and the replacements quickly fook things up.
