Just been on a run. Did 8k in 48minutes. Really struggling on the runs for energy while i'm cutting. Going to restructure my eating i think. Anyway here's a couple of pictures. Mainly for comparison. TBH they're not that great, but i'm not too bothered as it'll make the comparison ones look even better!

How do you fuel your runs? I normally do it post coffee only, but most would recommend slow release carbs 2hours prior to running. I recently trialled a pre-workout supplement (caffeine, taurine, arginine etc) and it certainly helped! I know caffeine certainly has endurance enhancing benefits. Jimbo

I don't really fuel them properly. Thats something i could do with researching. Basically i'll have a coffee, and eat a meal with carbs in an hour beforehand. Monday this week weighed in at 13st 10 1/2, so that's 3lbs loss. Not bad, tho some will be water. Had bit of a heavy weekend on the booze as well with england e.t.c, but ate quite well. Ran on Monday, did some HIT hill work in the valley near me. 40minutes, 10 or so incline runs, really opened up the lungs.

Hit the gym at my mates yesterday. Bench - 70kg - 6/6/6 Seated MP - 40kg - 10/10/10 DB Flys - 17.5kg - 9/9/9 CG Bench - 55kg - 7/7/8 Not a bad session. Don't feel much weaker even though i've been dieting, but that will come. Pleased with bench, and went really deep on flys.
