Re:Time To Grow - 31 October 2009 13:25
Cheers mate, finally felt well enough to train today

Chest and Bi's
Pec deck 95kgx10,10,10
Smith Incline press 60kg x8,8, 70kg x 4, 40kg x failure
Flat DB press 27.5kg x 8,8,8,8
Dips - BW x 8,8,8

Seated incline DB curl 17.5kg x 10,9,8
Standing BB curl - 30kgx8,8,8

Decided to take a different approach the next few weeks. Training structure will be the same, but instead of me chasing numbers, risking my elbow and getting the face on, I'm dropping a few kg's off the bar and going for slow reps with 100% form. Worked an absolute treat on chest and bi's today and felt fantastic!

Sounds like a good plan Rack.

A few years back I did a routine with ultra slow reps and very low weight and it was brutal. The pump was insane afterwards. I may well give it a go again when I finish my current routine??

Yeah, I found exactly the same saturday mate

Yesterday I felt well rough again, manged to eat this time though and made sure I got the cals up by having my 2 treat meals. Feel a lot better this morning and am looking forward to gym at lunch. Due to overlaying I'll be doing cardio after my last meal later on tonight.

Also, I wasn't going to make this public knowledge but might as well. I've started a 4 week cycle. This is 50mg Dbol ED and 1ml OneRip EOD.

On different fronts it's a good job I've stopped drinking as I'm mega skint this month and I only got paid last week!!!

Sometimes being skint can be a blessing in disguise.

I have been financially inept for a while, if anything I have learned to value money a little more and simply do not spend my cash on unecessary purchases.

No booze = Good for business!

Sneaking a lil cycle in eh... Cunning little fox!

I was pretty ok after holiday but lately been making a lot of purchases silly nilly, so it's time to stop.  Having to dig out my old vinyl and pop it on ebay as I have a couple of rare one's that could be worth a few quid.

I've not been out on the pop for 4 weekends now mate, so that's saved me a fortune.  I've got a party saturday night and then my bday weekend at the end of the month and that's the only time I'll be havin a beer.

As for the cycle I think this is to boost fat burning again, plan after this is to clear system out and then get ready for show prep in jan.

Back/Rear delts and traps and calf’s:
Wide grip pull downs - Pg15 x10,10, P16x8 Pg12xfailure
Bent over BB row - 80kgx8,8,8,8
Partial dead lifts - 120kgx8,8,8,8
Close grip pull downs – Pg14x8,8,8

Bent over DB raise - 10kgx8,8,8,8
Reverse peck deck - 45kgx10,10,10,
Seated DB shrugs - 32.5kgx10,10,10,10,10,10

Standing Calf raise Pg12 (pause at peak)x20,20,20 (had to cut short see below)

Still not 100% over being ill, as my recovery time is pants. Not good for someone with over 7L lung capacity! Managed to get through the session though although have managed to pull something in my lower back on the left hand side, it kinda feels like a joint wants to crack, if that makes sense?

Dbol must be kicking in as I'm reading to bite someone's face off and I had to cut calves short due to insane pumps in them. First time I've ever used Dbol so will be monitoring sides carefully. Also face is very bloated but this is no doubt due to my Chinese treat meal last night with all the sodium in it. Note to self, no more chinese food!!!!!

Lol at the sneaky cycle Rack.

Iv never ran Dbol myself but wouldnt mind at some point. But I thought it was more of a bulker? I could be wrong as been a while since I read up on it.

Good to see some regular training going on now bud. You say you are going clean after this 4 weeker till the comp? You not considering running T3 to help ya a little?

That's exactly what I thought about it too mate, using cutting meds and a bulking med confused me slightly but I'm following things told to me by the letter.

I'm not sure about any other PED's after the cycle, I got told we'll be "cleaning me out" until the prep starts.

45mins cardio done this morning and back is still as bad. Might have to get the gf to do some deep tisue massage on it later. Got some nice DOMS too.

On the AAS front, my doubts over the gear are slowly fadin as last night I was horny and angry as hell! Oh I've missed that feelin LOL!

Shoulders and tris at lunch time. The MSM is working wonders on my elbow too.

Interesting.
How quickly did that kick in?
It's one of the few things I haven't tried for joint issues, was that for tendonitis or more of an arthritis type pain?

I've been taking it since thursday mate.  2mg per day.  It was for the tendon pain in my elbow although I have heard it's ver good for the arthritis pain too.

Mine was pretty cheap too, think it was from Healthy Direct.

I'm using it mate.  The rage is pretty controllable as I'm a laid back kinda guy, just certain things can set me off to snap.

Yesterday was a prime example, the dog just wouldn't stop pulling on the lead so it caused me to rag him back and shout.
Then when I was going through a tight gap in the car and someone decided to try and squeeze through the same time as me, the car's were nearly touching and me with my window down just looked and shouted "You foooking bellend!"  things that I'd normally just shake my head at, but yesterday set me off.  I'm in a good mood this morning though.  The gf is just gagging for the horn to come back as it's been well and truely gone for weeks.

Shoulders/Triceps:
Seated press 60kgx10,9,9,9
Seated Side laterals 10kgx10,10,10,10
Seated DB press 25kgx10,10,9,8
Standing front raise with a straight bar 20kgx8,8,8

Straight bar cable press-down 55kgx8,8,8
Skull crushers 30kg (not inc bar)x10,9,8
Between bench dips Bwx12,12,12

Recent drop in strength has got to be a combination of still not fully recovered from being ill last week and drop in cals/carbs. Pumps were crazy yet again, slightly below being uncomfortable.

Back is still giving me pain too. Going to have to let the gf loose on it later.

That's the thing though Taz, I have no desire what so ever to actually "do it" with the gf.  Not sure how or why but think some body issues might be coming back even though I'm ok(ish) with how I look.  Head just seems to be in a funny place at the min and the 6 month curse is striking again (I usually get fed up of being with someone after 6 months).  It's strange as she's everything I wanted but just not feeling it lately.

Tuffy, have a look here mate http://www.msmguide.com/

Had the gf go to town on my back last night and it seems to have eased a little this morning. No weights today as I'm having 3 hours of work done on my sleeve. It's ok though as I trained delts yesterday as I knew today wouldn't be possible.

Woke up at 530 and it was throwing it down so cardio will be done later on after my last meal, either walking or stationary bike. I didn't get the bike out this morning as it's covered in all manor of things in the utility room and I'd have woke the whole street up effin and jeffin at it.

Yeah I know mate, I try never to make big decision while on cycle or in PCT (although the last year or so I've contantly been in one or the other) I'll just see how the next few weeks go.  There's quite a few itches that want me to scratch them atm, so I've gotta be good LOL!

Had more of my tattoo done yesterday and 3 hours flew by as I was watching Transformers2 while having it done on a giant tv with cinema sound. I was having to restrain myself from jumping and cheering when Prime was kicking ass! Oh and I'm not usually a lover of Megan Fox but GOD DAMN!!!!!! And the blonde Decepticon is just as tastey!

Mood is defo swinging big time and so is temper. Think being this big isn't doing my BDD any good as I'm stayin away from mirrors again for the mo. Back is still sore too so hope it doesn't affect legs at lunch time. Cardio done this morning and man it was cold! A new beanie hat is certainly needed!!

Weight this morning was 229lbs.

The blonde android decepticon ruined the film for me!

Despite being a physically attractive girl, I found the humanoid transform/morphing ability to be a continuity breaker with respect to the transforming abilities of the other 99.99% of the Transformers.

It was almost as pain staking as seeing Megatron roughly 20-30% larger than Optimus in the first movie. It has always been acknowledged that Megatron is of similar size to a prime and fairly equally matched with physical prowess.

If Michael Bay is reading this, give me a call and I will right your wrongs for the next installment..

[/geek rant]

229lbs is a respectable weight, any progress pics incoming or are you keeping your cards close to your chest?

I was a little gutted when the girl did transform as it was a bit of a "WTF!!!  Why isn't she a tank or a plane?" but when she strutted out of the Library all was forgiven.

I thought in this film Megatron seemed smaller, although that could have been due to the pressures he was under in the sea LOL!

One thing that did get me a little angry was the twin Autobots, where they a Ford Ka and a Toyota Aygo in the fim?  In the cartoon they were a pair of Lamborghini Countach.......

Anyway, back to gym geekage, condition is pathetic mate tbh I'm just a big lump.  I'll take some pics later and pop them up although really not wanting too, but hey it's a journal.

Do not concern yourself over your pics buddy, it was merely a passing comment. I have refrained from posting many pictures of myself in my journal as I do not feel ready to do so.

Yes I know, I posted what could be the worst 2 recently! Me a month before I started training... Though I do feel those pictures spur me on as to what I have come from and what is achieveable.

I would take the pictures, keep them under your hat and play your trump cards side by side next year when your in show condition! It will be like, here is me late 2009 and here is me now.. BOOYA.

HAHA, I was planning that exact thing mate but I think pics are an important part of a journal as they give people a better idea of what's happening to the poster.  As much as I don't like how I look, it's tough sh1t, this IS how I look at the min.  The thing with pics that get's me is (as it's been said many a time on here) they make me look a lot smaller than I am, is it possible to be 229lb and small?  I never think I'm that big yet I get comments saying how big I am in person.  Last week in a nightclub the doormen were asking me about training and started the convosation with "jesus pal, you're a big un"....????

I'm off out tonight but will get some pics up in the next few days as it's been a good 10 pages since my last one hahaha

Quads/Hams and calf’s:
Leg extensions - Pg14x15,15,15,15
Hack Squat - Pg12x8,8,8,8
Leg press - 205kg PScarb styleeeeee!

Lying leg curl – Pg8x8,8,8,8
Stiff leg deads - with DB – skipped (see below)

Seated calf raise - 120kgx20,20,20,20,20

Dropped weights on legs as per all other body parts and gone for slower reps and better form and felt everything a lot more! Weight was up on leg press though.
Seen as back is still sore I skipped SLDL's.

Thanks for the comments.  I'm pretty happy with my calves, they've really come on since coming back from holiday.
After looking at the pics, first through my fingers, I might not be as bad as I have prob made out.  I just feel a bit uncomfy atm.  Another thing is that I feel I'm a lot bigger now at 16st 5lb than I did at 17st.

I agree with Master Jedi with regards to your condition.

You are looking big to me my friend. Your bodyfat is not to bad at all, nothing excessive and certainly nothing a quality cut can't get through. Its all good buddy.

Im of the opinion that pictures rarely do justice. I look like a midget on mine despite being told by others im a large unit. I always struggle to get the light right and as such the camera likes to blur me over!

Looking big and solid in the pics, there is clearly a lot of muscle there and once the prep starts it will come through very qucikly.

As for people saying you look bigger when they meet you in person, i will let you know what i think if i see you IB's show on the 22nd, as i will br driving up there to see it with my training partner.

now then mate, sorry i havent been in here for a while!

sounds like your head is all over the place!

i know exactly what you mean on the 6 month thing.  things can be as perfect as you like, but it still hits.

I think when you have lived your life in a certain way (and ive had about 10 peoples share lol)  then being with one person is hard.  But you have to ask yourself, is your life better overall for having them in it?  if the answer is yes then stick with it.

im sure that you have had plenty of times when single that you have thought you wished you had something a bit more permanent.  And to have someone that is everything that you go for, AND supports and understands what you want to do is more than alot of people manage to find.

@Westy, will be good to meet up with you at the show.

@Dazc, you've hit the nail on the head there.  It's just me being silly at the min.  All my mate's were with people and as soon as I got with the gf they all got single, so it's like I'm missing out on something.  But to be honest, the amount of times I got the phone calls and texts saying "you might have to go for a check up" or "I'm pregnant!" really aren't worth the hastle.

@Faux, it was freezing this morning buddy, would prefer to be where you are now for sure!

@Tuffy, Only 8 weeks before prep starts so I'm pertty ok now.  Just really looking forward to seeing what's underneath.

Train chest and bi's saturday and I'm getting some serious pumps now, so much so that it was getting very painful so had to take a little while longer between sets.  Back/rear delts/calves today but think I might skip deads this week to make sure back is ok as it's still a little tender.
Went to a fancy dress party on saturday and the beard helped with the outfit big time

Well done on getting the photos up Mr Rack...needs to be done, doesn't it?!

Bloody good place to be starting from (but then again, boys are a total mystery to me so can't be trusted vis a vis opinions really!)
