Types of chalk.

Never really looked into chalk but would like to try some out when deadlifting. I remember reading that there is a type of liquid chalk. I always imagined this to be like a gel you put on your hands which dries and then helps with grip? What I'm looking for: Something I can put on in the changing rooms once. Finish my deadlifting. Then wipe it off the bar easily and wash it off my hands easily so I can finish off the rest of my back session with gloves. Any products that will do this or come close? Thanks

I've never tried liquid chalk, but instead carry round a little bag with one of those chalk-ball things in. Stick hand in bag, grip chalk-ball, shake off excess, extract; repeat with other hand. No mess, no fuss, everyone's happy.

Use a chalk ball, your not gonna get something you can put on once, then wash off after. Chalk for me wears off after a set, ive got mine in a food bag, put it on top of a towel and you wont make a mess, wipe up after with the towel, jobs a good un.

ORIGINAL: jack5r John - Doesn't that just get chalk everywhere or are you shaking of the excess into the bag? The latter.

ORIGINAL: jack5r Can someone explain what liquid chalk is? there's 2 kinds of "liquid chalk". the 1st is just finely ground chalk suspended in alcohol, you squart some on your hands, the alcohol evaporates. the 2nd type is like extremely heavy duty anti-perspirant and just stops your hands from sweating for a few hours without really adding any grip enhancement.
