Couture - Vera - disappointing, although IMO Vera won Great result for Dan Hardy Thought Bisping was lucky to survive the first , but fair play to him for coming back Good display from Ross Pearson too Best fights were on the undercard - Terry Etim, Dennis Siver with a specatcular back kick, big ko for Andre Winner Absolutely delighted that Slick Nick defeated Matt Riddle Also thought the MEN was a superb venue!

indie Couture blatently won that fight, Vera didn't do anything on those occassions he got randy down. Vera did get about 10 strikes that could of taken down a rhino, but he did not capatilse on those opportunities! Couture immobilsed any movement from Vera, using effective striking from within the clinch for basically the whole fight. Points are awarded for grappling, aggression and octagon control, not just a few good leg kicks. wasnt blatant at all... most of the clinches were broken up by the ref cos couture did f*ck all in them.. vera was the aggressor, and did more on the ground.. imo vera had it!! couture himself said he wouldnt have been disappointed if he had lost it as he was impressed with vera...vera should have done more to finish couture, but as they always say, if u leave it in the hands of the judges then u stand the chance of gettin f*ckt!! couture is a clever fighter and did things well which will score him pts in the judges eyes..

Atmosphere was indeed brilliant! I'm sure that song started out as there's only one Paul Taylor & changed when he was getting whupped. Do you train at Wolfslair? Is Bisping approachable - always comes across as being a bit of a nob , but maybe thats just on camera.

Couture did plenty whilst in the clinch, elbows, uppercuts, knees. Vera was man handled like a b1tch

Thought that was defo a Vera win. His Muay Thai is excellent, vicious shots to the body, his cardio is questionable though. The ref was too slow to seperate them at times. Was pleasantly suprised with UFC 105.

I have to say at the end when Vera took Randy down then Randy got back to his feet I thought Randy was then going to get the decision, what with the way judge seem to call these kind of fights. Vera has always taken the safe option in his fights and this was no different, he did do the most damage but was not the most active fighter. Do you think Bispings chin could be gone after the Henderson knockout? Why did Dan Hardy go in for the clinch whenever he had Swick rocked? I know GSP is the better fighter but with Hardy's punching power and timing I could see him pull off a "Matt Serra" on him.

I did think Vera did the more damage in the fight but i think the way Coutore worked in the clinch and broke Vera down impressed me - i think Coutore deserved the win. I was really impressed with 105, enjoyed the Ross Pearson fight and also the Bispin fight too. Bookerman I know GSP is the better fighter but with Hardy's punching power and timing I could see him pull off a "Matt Serra" on him. Im sorry but i dont think Hardy will get any where near GSP. I think GSP just to good at the moment. Best pound for pound fighter in the UFC IMO

great event!! bisping was a beast from the top! thought vera v couture was really close to call. id give it to vera as he inflicted most damage. since when has fighting been pushing someone up agianst the cage 90% ofthe time. ok he was controling him but so what its waste of time, dont think any pts should be given for this. vera striking was imense. couture escape from the mount was lovely tho

He was superb against Thiego Alves but i think he was even better against B.J Penn. GSP just seems to dominate his opponent and has got a wide range of techniques - not just good standing, he's good in the clinch and on the ground. I dont think Dan Heady has got any where near the skills to beat him. I know he's only fought 4 fights but i dont think he'll ever be good enough

Bit late to this thread but nevermind! Hardy was very impressive IMO although at times looked like he didn't know when to go in for the finish. He would have almost no chance against GSP right now, but then who does? Very pleased for Bisping and a good fight for him, but I worry slightly about his chin as was mentioned earlier in the thread It seems time has finally caught up with Randy, thought the decision could have gone either way, would personally have given it to Vera but either way it was not a vintage Randy performance at all Wilks not looking good on the night Pearson totally dominant, very impressive, an easy win over a decent opponent Winner brutal KO, not sure that those couple of taps after the KO will do his image much good (nothing major though IMO, nothing damaging like Henderson put on Bisping for example) Etim slow start but impressive finish Didn't see the others but will watch at some point. Sounds like it was a good event from everyone who was there
